You are such a magnificent storyteller, it does bring something different to Roy's poetry. His poems are very intricate in detail that one could feel the waves emanating out of Jimmy Hendrix's skin and clasing in one's eardrums. I loved this collaboration.
Confession: I did have a crib sheet for this one, although I was fairly conversant by the time I recorded the video. Usually, with my own poems, I am able to remember all the words - but that is not so difficult when you have written them! I am fairly well immersed by the time the poem is finished. (Delighted to play a part in introducing you to Roy's poetry, thank you.)
I listened to this again. And I think what listeners should pay special attention to is the way you make the details blossom, as if E.C. were accomplishing his little act of humility and humanness right before our eyes!
Amazingly rendered. (When you may a writer rethink the presence of each and every word, what is this but magical?)

Thanks, David. Roy's poems are certainly something meaty to get your teeth into! I look forwards to hearing you when the time comes.

Haha. Good poem, with humourous contrasts. Even the president of the United States must sometimes have to stand naked.
I know - memorizing other's poems takes quite a bit more effort than doing your own!

Such generous comments, thank you. I did enjoy the contrast in style, between Roy's poetry and my own, that I experienced through making this video.

Roy your poems always speak to me. This time, its speaking to my body... in the form of goose bumps.
Thank you for reading this Mark. :D

Excellent reading, Mark. You really made this poem live...and of course the poem isn't too bad either!!!
Excellent pairing of two of my favorite poets!
