When did you get your chickens? How old are they that they have started to lay already? Did you get them as 1 day old chicks?

@iowanne We got them this spring from Tractor Supply Co.; they were probably several days old when we got them. Then, various people gave us even more. What started out to be only 10 chickens has blossomed into 30! The older ones have just started laying! - Mark

My lettuce didn't fair so well but I'll find a better suited variety and start a row soon.

@rancidscooter drip irrigation set on a timer; I have a well on the farm for the water source. - Mark
