  • Warren looks like peter perret

  • this sounds horrible

  • i remember when it was cool to show yer boobies at the show....

  • i love warren's facial expressions. totally hot guy.

  • could u imagine all ur fans wanting to hear the songs you played when ur best friend was alive playin them with you accept its only you and you're never gonna play with your friend ever again

  • He nailed that solo like he nailed your mom

  • Warren DeMartini toca muito man *-*

  • He nailed the fuckin' shit outta that.

  • Have any of you seen Pearcy? He looks like hes a 60 year old crack addict.

  • @OnlyForAngels Yeah, I saw him at the NAAM show last year. He was wasted, and looked like a leather bag with eyes. Very rough. Even then he still had chicks hanging all over him.

  • Nice axe! I think it's one of those kick ass Wayne guitars made by Mr.Wayne Charvel and his son.Party on Garth!

  • A lot of idiots on here making comments about a bald spot. To me it just looks like the color of the lighting reflecting off of his hair. Saw Ratt a little over a year ago and Warren looks very young for his age. Didn't notice any thin hair at all. Besides it doesn't matter because they were great. Too bad the personalities in this band clash and they are on ice again.

  • Great butchering of a classic. I'm convinced the music can't be done right , live, without Robin(RIP).

  • i love how that dude flips off warren before the solo. id be pissed off too if i sucked at being a musician.

  • I wasn't rocking when these guys were big but it doesn't take a genuis to know these guitar melodies are some of the best to come out of the 80s. I don't give a shit if he is totally bald, it doesn't hold Satriani back. Jake E. Lee and Martini have the best chord voicings period.

  • He was one of the good gtr players back in the big hair days !!!

  • Fucking sick!!!

  • warren is one hell of a guitar player dont think ratt would ever find any1 as good if he left when they were together x

  • Harsh -- I need to take an Excedrin after that solo. Serious flubbed solo.

Love the song, though, and W. DeMartini is a fave player.

  • @banditvibe watch the vid again. youll see a fan grab his whammy bar, throwing the pitch off on the solo. Warrren played it spot on.

  • @believer06 good catch -- I didn't see that. I was wondering why was giving the finger wag to someone in the audience.

  • ratt in the kitchen

  • Warren is one of the best guitar players alive and it´s a shame he´s so underrated

  • @VanishaGlamChick6 probably one of the most underrated guitar players of all time, and one of my favorite

  • @slkrick69 Absolutely. Warren is one of the tastiest players ever. He also possesses the best vibrato of any guitar player alive w/ all due respect to Lynch. Every time I listened to De Martini, I had to go pick up my guitar and play.

  • This guy knows how to shred with taste!!!Articulation and melodic playing !!!!!

  • RIP, KING!!!

  • Warren DiMartini has never gotten the credit he deserves nor respect esp not here-- everyone who wants or claims to be a shredder, warren di martini was shredding packed stadiums in his early 20's and partying til he puked every freakin night so watch it with the negative comments you look like a dumbass when you rag on these guys its a wonder the guy can even walk much less shred better than anyone I know and hes been through it and years of it,this guy PAID HIS DUES WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?

  • I think the guitar on round and round is genius on the level of the violin masters of the classical age. I'm serious. I usually only think of Jimmy Page on that level, but damn, this song is jaw-dropping. It's kind of unfortunate that so many ears will be closed to this because of the whole '80s LA glam metal image...but seriously - and I'm someone who takes music seriously - this guitar part is genius. Lots of choices but I posted here because people seem to know what I'm saying.

  • Robin played it better.

  • Give it up guys. The ride has officially come to an end.

  • I saw Ratt last Spring and the show was phenomenal. You can't help but wonder though what it's like for these guys to have once been playing at massive sold-out arenas and selling millions of copies of CD's... to now playing small, little "club" venues. It's just not right.

  • hot dog

  • I didn't even notice the bald spot until all these little whiny bitches complained about it. I was too busy enjoying the solo and checking him out play. Who gives a shit? I don't thats for sure. Warren is a kick ass guitarist and at least hes not fake wearing like a wig like all the movie stars

  • They sound fantastic on this video.

  • I saw Ratt 3 mos ago with Queensryche, Tesla (my two fav's) and also have had alot of experience with recording as well as playing live guitar solo's....perhaps he hit a few "sour" notes, but then again, he could have just written a wanker lead solo and been done with it. To any critics, don't judge a man until you've walked 1000 miles in his shoes, this man helped revolutionize (along with EVH, Randy, and many others) Metal and Rock guitar...

  • warren f'ed that solo up hella, carols had it though

  • @algor123 Yeah...he definitely flubbed the solo.

  • @xlr8r2010 no he didnt. Someone in the audience grabbed his whammy bar. He played the solo spot on. Just sounded outa key cuz of the dude playing with the bar.

  • he will go down as a legend

  • shit yeah wazza is the man

  • I actually think they all look pretty good considering their hard-partying ways through the years. I don't expect them to look 20 something anymore. I think Warren is an excellent guitarist.

  • Bald spot?! If one worried more about G-spots one might be less of an asswipe.

What kind of ADD strain must one have to be hearing great guitar work and start blubbering out about bald spots? Must be the asswipe strain.

  • Dudes, I just saw them about three weeks ago and they played better than in the 80z. They had a better sound, played in sync, no back up singers, and actually looked better with no BS. I saw them in 85 opening up for Bon Jovi and 87 headlining, both shows sucked.

  • i remember Warren when he was a kid and he and his brothers played Earth Wind In Fire in thier Backyard BAnd

  • yeah!!!

    fucking de martini

    the best!!!

  • That was fantastic - I think Warren is one of the best rock players from the 80s. He had the coolest style. I always thought of him as a mix between Ed Van Halen and Joe Perry... he had the fluidity of Ed's legato technique mixed with Joe's simpler blues-based licks (although we all know Ed was a master of cool pentatonic licks too). Anyway, please check out my Ratt video covers on guitar if you have time :)

  • @PDXguitarfreak you are a beast, I've seen your stuff.

  • I met warren last yr and for some reason that guy doesnt look like him lol

  • I first heard this song on a "the grim adventures of billy and mandy" show lol

    this is a great song

  • the tempo slows alot right after the solo haha

  • Totally not a bald spot, unless he recently had enormous amounts of hair plugs. I met the guy recently (2010), and he is not bald at all. He actually had tons of hair.

  • BALD SPOT WARREN?

  • @13scott71 they shoulda played the hair club for men instead

  • As Dave Mustaine used to say "Gay LA Metal!"

  • @ClyvCleveland I have the utmost respect for mustaine. A matter of fact, he's my all time fav metal songwriter. But, at the time he said that he was quite a different person. Im sure since then, he's learned to appreciate all forms of metal. Ratt was (is) an awesome band with great musicians. Im sure Mustaine would say the same thing now. Heck, he jammed with Marty Freedman for over 10 years. Prior to Megadeth, Marty was in cacaphoney, which was to Ratt but more progressive.

  • @believer06

Cacophony was amazing. Jason Becker (my all time favourite musician) really clicked with Friedman in that band. i never knew Friedman played with Mustaine though. huh, learn something new every day i guess. I wouldn't have know thought I'm not a huge Mustaine fan.

  • RATT Rocks!!!

  • Fuckin' great guitarist. Him, Jake, Eddie, Randy and George Lynch were the early to mid 80's gunslingers. Great times, great tunes.

  • Well,it's the overhead lights guy and gals...The spot always moves. He is not going bald,in fact his hair is just fine.Look at the new vid from the new album. Can't believe people are talking about hair...LAME

  • @goodgodpluckme1 So is Bret Michael's hair real?! I mean the guy has sex with that stupid bandana on! Would someone please snatch that rat off his head!

  • I was at that show with my Bro's guests of the Blotz...you had to be there it was awesome... Meet Warren after the show and partied at the Holiday Inn after. Hey news flash for all you posers your hair doesn't play the guitar errrrrrr it's your fingers and soul Losers

  • warren is better in the studio,i here some out of key notes..still think hes great

  • @ENGL555 yeah me too, sounds like the first couple of bars are in the wrong key HOWEVER being a guitarist I know stuff happens live, and regardless, Warren is an awesome guitarist, better than I'll ever be.

  • It's funny how everyone is talking about this guys hair! It's all about the music..One thing that people forget is that these guys "know how to play"! You couldnt play this music in the 80's without knowing how to do it! You can take current Drop B bullshit and stick it! How many guys today know anything on the fretboard other than chugging along to a horse screaming singer?

  • warren is the best ... and he is unique in his style ... hair ... he is a guitar hero not beauty queen pageant ...

  • One of the reasons I started playing behind Ace Frehley.I remember having a lucky rabbits foot hanging off my Floyd Rose like Warren when I started. This hair loss thing is funny, check out Nile, they will make you bow down to hair loss.

  • Ratt were pioneers with bringing "metal" to mainstream radio back in

the day ,along with Def Leppard. A little respect please!

  • Losing your hair, the need for glasses, injuries from which you can't bounce right back, unflattering body changes....it's called getting old. Everyone does it; some of us have a head start on others, but rest assure, the sands of time won't spare you.

  • Well Said Mate !

  • Yeah, Warren is losing his hair - like everyone else as they get older. So what? This band had it wrapped-up in their time, when it mattered. And BTW, that old guy with the bald spot was probably fucking your mom long before you came along, OK? Go back to bed, asswipe. Don't forget to turn off your Guitar Queero before you go beddy-bye.

  • Shit! we all do some time its only hair.

Warren is the most under rated guitar

player and should get more credit for his

playing my opinion, and also agree that

RATT was good in there day.

  • And Ratt is good now. Just check out their new single "Best of Me".

  • @2ndarymotion U got it man ;) Top post.

  • @2ndarymotion I think it's funny to see these guys balding! They came from a era that was all about the hair!

  • @ClyvCleveland Sorry, but they came from an era that was all about the MUSIC. Usually it's the people who never did and never will understand the music or the time who refer to these bands as "hair bands". Those same people typically lump a band like RATT into the same category as a band like Poison - who clearly was about the hair as they had no discernible talent.

  • @2ndarymotion I hear what your saying, but people don't give CC enough credit and it's due to the fact he played in Poison. You can think whatever you want, but he is a solid guitarist. With that being said, i don't listen to them. I'm just a guitarist who can appreciate someone elses skills, regardless if i like the music or not.

  • @RunOut1724 CC is a fine roots guitarist , I think his bank account will explain this.He was surrounded by guys like Van Halen , Vai, Lynch who were on top.He is not quite that level but still did well

  • @2ndarymotion

losing hear.. yeah, we all do at that age, :-) these guys still give s me the goosebumps.. Warren has one of the best guitar sounds at all times.. .....

  • @2ndarymotion I think its refreshing he's not fake about it!

  • Comment removed

  • @cncdaddy Hmmm... don't think I pissed off anybody except a worthless fag-fucker from Canada. Suck my enormous American cock, you incoherent, babbling asshole.

  • @2ndarymotion LMAO.. that comment was definitely MADE IN THE USA. hooo ahh

  • @2ndarymotion Well put.

  • @2ndarymotion Guitar Queero Classic

  • @2ndarymotion

Sing it, brother. These kids need a serious reality check. I'm just glad that I'm old enough to remember the days before forced, corporate manufactured mediocrity turned the entire modern music scene into a big pile of rancid dog shit.

  • @2ndarymotion

Nice. I fucked his Mom too.

  • Some of these comments are lame. Ratt was a major player when the rock scene was changing. Dokken, Dio, Ozzy, and other bands all had great guitarist and they are all still rockin. Enjoy the music MAN!!!!!!!!

  • @groovemon : Keep On Rockin'!!!

  • @groovemon This.

  • fav solo

  • Ratt kicks ass. was hoping there singer was a little better live. Best band ever Van Halen

  • @jaguar4098 The man is 40 some odd years old is he not?

  • Losing your hair is a common thing in life so who the hell care's if he's losing it or not. I see people with receding hair lines all over the place. Hell I'm even losing mine.

  • Just caught this thread. Is Warren losing his hair? Bummer

  • @thrashnburn30

    LOL.

  • I dont know why everyone is always like so and so it better. Its like who cares who shredds better. Every guitarist from that period ruled compared to the bullshit that the industry is making these days. Yeah I like Evh I like Neal Schon and If Neal is your favorite I dig that. Hardline and Bad English when he was in there was pretty insane good. And Id take a balding Warren over a full head of hair Jonas Brothers show any day lol

  • One of my favorite bands of the 80s. Warren is a great player. Everybody laughs at me when I pull out a Journey CD, but Neal Schon is (IMO) THE best of the 80s- Eddie Van Halen included.

  • Looks like everyone started working out like George Lynch. I guess times change...Hope they didn't do steroids. Buff guitarists look a little strange.

  • haha i thought the same thing

  • He's one of the smoothest 80s guitar players around - very cool tone and technique. And stop making fun of his hair... you better hope when you are in your 40s that you look half that good LOL. Seriously, please take a look at my video tribute where me and another old fart YouTuber play along to a fake track of the tune :)

  • Warren DeMartini greatest gutar player ever. So fuck off frez777 you are the only shithead on youtube bitch boy. Ratt will always be # 1 in my book.

  • Dude, look. He's balding. Doesn't matter though, he's still rockin'.

  • We all miss Robbin, but I thank God that Ratt is still out there shredding it live in concert.

    LONG LIVE 80's ROCK!

  • This is missing 1 thing !! "ROBBIN CROSBY" it's just not the same,sorry !!! csc/09

  • correct.

  • bad ass

  • This is one fo the better vidoes of Warren, I love it when he opens his mouth when he's really getting into it.....drooling....OMG....that must be his trademark as he does it often in his videos....sucks for us all to get older, I've never seen a bald spot move with the light, he has very pretty hair....he must use Wen shampoo.....oh but anyhow...lol....He can rock my socks off anyday!!!!!!

  • Bald spot that moves?: that's cos his hair is really really thin right now - it's hanging by a ... ahem, hair. I used to have the same prob, until I shaved it all off to become the nutmeg cucumber I am today. I'll tell yo one thing - Warren must hate seeing videos of himself with backlighting these days. Again, I'm not poking fun - I'm saying how it was for me on bright stages and thinning hair.

  • What a bunch of fuckin retards posting here. Bald spot? What bald spot. If it's a bald spot on Warrens head, it's the first one I've ever seen that moves as his head moves. It's the goddamn lights glaring off his hair. By the way, so the fuck what if it is a bald spot?. Shit, you should see mine. But the bottom line is, I can still shred the frets off a guitar and so can Warren. Unreal that any so called guys even bring it up. Probably nut mustard eaters anyway. Go to a fuckin gay site.

  • Hey is very sexy, hair isn't what makes someone's looks....He plays like a rock star and deserves kudos for showing that he's still got it!!!

  • Him losing his hair is not going to make him play like crap or become any less of a guitar player. He can still run circles around most of us with his guitar playing. It's sad if he's losing his hair but it's a part of life. We are never going to look like were did in the prime of our lives, and I am sure he's lived a pretty rewarding life.

  • looks like he's gonna need a little more turf on the fairway

  • Hey bro, dat's not kool!! you thinks he asked for it?...Hell no!!!....You on here to check out guys, or the fucking guitar shredding? You wanna see guys, go to Lady Gaga"s page!!!...or shud I say Lady CACA.....haha

  • hey dude, it's a natural progression of life. if you got the gene, regardless of talent, you going bald. deal with it, or don't even get into the music business, cuz you're afraid of what your decrepit body is gonna look like 30 years from now. lol

  • Comment removed

  • Yea, enough with Warren's fucking hair!! Like I said, "he didn't ask to go bald"....This dude is a guitar jenius, and thats all what fucking matters!!

  • yeah, i guess you're right. i mean, who can control the genes we're born with? try to control you're spelling though, genius

  • He's not going bald its the lighting on the stage, look closer.

  • warren looks like rick springfield, lol

  • haha! Or a toupe..id LOVE to see a toupe...go warren!

  • fkn hell warrens hair is gettin mighty thin lololol!!

  • Nothin' a baseball cap can't fix!

  • warren is the shit!!and always will be!!

  • Wow, blind and stupid, where's the bald spot? in the NAMM 08 to the right of this video, if you look at him, there's no bald spot. Looks like a lot of ya have never been to a concert. Can't get a day pass from the group home??? LOL

  • he should start hair club for guitarists. Man he'd make a killing. this could be the before shot!

  • I saw the bald spot. Not that there's anything wrong wit a bald spot on a man.

  • lol

  • he could use a hat!!

    hahahaha

just joking, warren kicks ass, bald or not

  • lol

  • I got tix for westbury on 7/30!!

    I cant wait!!!

  • Way to play out of key.

  • this sucks. ratt effing rules. what are they playing to, a crowd of 2oo?

  • why doesnt he jus get the hair implants he can affford it

  • is warren balding in the back???

  • No I think it's just the reflection of the lighting in his shiny hair :D Actually I was thinking about exactly the same thing...

  • that aint no reflection. we're all getting old man. He's got more hair then me so he isn't doing to bad considering he's older too.

  • it might be and prbably is a reflection cause it keeps moving as he is moving :P Not all men lose their hair either :)

  • Is Warren working on a Skullet there???

  • fuck man, what means "mistake" its how it is man, play alive, and musician decides what he wants to play at the present. Dont get sad for that. It is his style.

  • As musicians (20+ years), what you hear in the studio and live are two different things. In a studio you are not moving, trying to look hip, rock the crowd and all that jazz. In the studio you have many takes and it gets pieced together. I have solos I still can't play 100% after playing them for 15 years, but the "studio take" is perfect. No wrong notes in live playing, some sound better then others. Rule of thumb, hit a wrong note and play it twice, that way it is not a mistake :)

  • ditto.

  • You obviously have never heard any Umphrey's Mcgee then.

  • R.I.P Robin Crosby.

  • i HAD HIS POSTER ON MY WALL IN THE 80S WARREN =SEXY RATT N ROLL!

  • Warren should know better than to get that close to the crowd. There is always some drunk or stone wanker who will try to touch the guitar and interfere with his playing.

  • like that video where the crowd steals kirk hammet's guitar, it's so funny

  • NO SHIT MAN!!! one of the geatest solos ever!!! no doubt about it, the 80's were definitely the the best 10 known to ROCK!!!!!

  • FUCK YES!

  • Unless you play guitar, you're not going to know if there's a small mistake -- all you notice is the energy and the performance. Total pros!

  • i noticed it too...from 20 to like 24 sec in

  • fenderstratguy, I would not be too sure.....you'd be surprised how non-players or non-musicians spots mistakes. They just don't tell you because they are not sure what to say,but they notice, even if they are not too conscious of the mistakes

  • yeah like they say it sounds different. that happened to me the other day when i was playing some zeppelin and i fucked up on whole lotta love. i played the low e instead of the octave up palm muted. one random ass kid noticed.

  • I hate it when people say musicians make "mistakes" when playing in concert. It's called artistic license. If they want to change it up a bit so what. He has played this solo 5,000 times before. Hell - VanHalen never plays it the same as the records. If you want to hear it just like the record - go listen to the record.

  • Word!

  • I agree but some of it is out of key. Back when I played in bands I never copied the solos from the song. On original songs, if the song was slow I would play the solo as I played when the song was written. For the faster harder songs I never played the same solo twice. To me playing is the expression of your soul and on stage it truly is.

  • Comment removed

  • warren rips dudes.

  • To me,that's one of the best guitar solos I ever heard. This solo is what made me what to pick up a guitar man.

  • plus, its loud on that stage......he is playing the beginning off, like he is one fret down on the entire first run. He didn't really even realize it at first because he was thinking, fuckers.....don't touch me or my ax bitches!

  • Yeah I agree with ya, it looks like the fan(s) trying to touch his guitar through his concentration off and was probably one fret off because of it..

  • its all his fault. I am a Ratt fan from way back when and warren is awesome. The problem here is that if you look closely when he is starting his solo, it looks as if he's shaking his head at people in the front as if to say"dont touch my guitar" He does this twice. I play too, that is a big distraction. Drunk fuckers!

  • easy to solve: don't walk up to the people. i've played live for years and that rule always served me well. fact is, he screwed up.

  • Mayb so, but he'll still kick everyones arse either way!

  • Yea, he may have been off, but if those fuckers would have touched his guitar and muted the strings in would have ruined the entire solo. He brings back the solo and harmonizes nicely in the end.

  • Warren has always been an inspiration to me. Wish I had internet back when I was playing lol.

  • Warren is so good - he shou
