Know y my front arteries took completely over and fed my brain. I had a trach fucking terrible. Spent my 18 bday in coma. So I feel for u all and good luck. I got lucky and wad the first person whoy doc didn't put a halo on. But b strong it's hard but gets better :)

Wow I find u to b really strong! I just got home from rehab a week ago. I flipped my car took out a sign and a pole. Got thrown 50 ft. Got flown to grant hospital in Columbus ohio. I fractured my c2, c3, and completely crushed my c1. I fractured my hip and got this big ass scar on my leg. They pit two rods in my neck and a cage. They was gonna cut my face up to do all this but my face was the only thing untouched. My back arteries that feed ur brain shut down and for some reason and no doctor k

hey gomtom1 it go by really fast well mine did anyway i got my halo taken off on monday only had it on for 8 weeks broke my c2 clean in half best bet for getting it off fast is calcium tablet vitamin d and bone milk im now have no collar or anything

1994 I was one of the first to wear one so the dr said, car crash, massive head injuries, C2 fractured, right leg fema snapped,

I have a pin from hip to knee screwed in place, and the halo for three months

I still went out to partys hung out with friend went restaurants pubs but not clubs lol, every one looks.. I even got laid a couple of times lol,

I enjoyed and hated my time with the Halo but I will never forget it, life is better when i dont talk about it but sometimes you do,

and had a review 2day its still not fused propely so they are looking at having an op just woundering if u had that choice

the joys of the halo, lol...not too painful getting it taken off...dont you just love the fact that they use screw drivers, the person that did mine was like im meant to use a coin so i dont stab you but oh well haha!!! but i did miss it for a while when it was taken off

I was (un)lucky enough to experience that as well. Broke my C2. Life pretty much sucked for a while, but now i kinda appreciate it a little more. My forehead screws were down closer to my eyebrows. Good luck with recovery.

yes it's titanium bolt in the skull .

this device is an HALO BRACE , it has an aluminium frame around head with 4 bolt crew in the skull and a vest made of plastic with wool lining and strap , most of the time the wearer have a broken neck or very severe neck injury , he wear it 24/24 for a period of time from 2 months to 6 months or so .
