What a great game it was. Both teams had the talent but UVA had more experience, which is probably why they wont the PK's. And Restrepo was one of the best goalkeepers in that tournament. It's a shame Akron went down after the quality victories they had in the tournament.
@itshann yeah it kind of sucks cause the uk is pretty shitty too. I mean the US sucks but England finished worse in the group than the terrible US. So I guess the US sucks at football, but there are plenty of countries that are worse and should probably give up and not play the game anymore... (England) (Qatar) (Mongolia)(Laos)
not really, the USA got lucky, England were the best team we just didnt play well, your college league sucks, and MLS sucks too. The premier league is the best league in the world, and any half decent Americans play there

thats because it was a pre season game, man united would have played a rubbish team, so it wouldnt have been hard for Kansas to beat them, The MLS is like league two quality football (the fourth best league in England), just slightly more glamorous
@itshann umm are u on crack the premier league is not the best its the spanish league they attract the most people in the world and thats where the number 1 and 2 top teams in the world play and it recently just got a player thats just happens to be the best in the world and the country just recently won a world cup and that country develops the best players in the world or did i make a mistake does arsenal not have cesc fabregas so with that how could the english league be the best ????????????
@danyc09 you are obviously on crack, not me, there are two decent teams in La Liga thats it, the rest completely awful. The fact the country won the world cup does not matter at all, the average standard of football is crap. in england the standard is extremely high, And barca and real Madrid are not the two best teams in the world. Spain dosent 'develop' the best players in the world, it just happens too have a good crop of players at the moment, the players arn't usually that good.

I guess you are american? because you dont know anythign about football. the best players in the world play in england. The teams you listed are really not that high a standard. In the EPL you have Man City and Totenham, Liverpool, Man United, Chelsea all who are world class standard. UEFA agrees with me:

lol thats not defense its anti-football... akron played great all season, and virginia played similar to NIU... The only way to truly compete w akron was not to play soccer.
@psylcaycau unfortunately ANTI-FOOTBALL is a growing problem in the football world, akron, barca, arsenal, and others stand up against this craptastic plot of not playing football. Continously foul, pack the box, and hope for PKs, corners, or set pieces...Its not the way the game should be played...Akron looks like the only team this year.
@gslayer5432 Zarconi messed that one up because he had his footing wrong so he had to use the back of his right foot and he just wasn't over far enough.
