@cobra87west How you know that what you seen on film was not honoring dia de los muertos like it should be. Those that decide to use catrina as a halloween costume are the ones you should be going after. footage was awesome.
@devilsdevil19 the video was good but thats not the real tradicion,,the tradicion is make an altar put some ofrendas ,,,not just paint their faces ,,,
@cobra87west I guess i got i different interpretations of the video. the little tiger that sat around marigold petals at 0:53 and the crosses with people names that were being held at 0:11 and all the candles that were shown. lead me to believe that there was some honoring being done and maybe not everything that happen that night was put into the film. con todo respeto, amigo.
@Thelinkgreen I'm pretty sure you don't have Aztec blood in you, you should check for the regional Native Americans from where ur family is from. Hope that helped
My parents and me where born in Guadalajara Mexico does than mean I have Aztec blood in me? If somebody can please answer me this because I would love to know more about my ancestors ..
@TheLinkGreen There were no aztec people in this area of Mexico during the conquest. Instead, there were coras, caxcanes, zacatecos, tecuales, tocomios, guainamotas, and some others ethnic groups. However, most of the were exterminated and native groups from other areas in Mexico arrived to Guadalajara, but the biggest strain has been the Spanish. So, I would say that is very difficult to say that you or anyone born in Guadalajara has aztec blood that is more likely for people born in MexicoCity
It's nice to see how people can celebrate together a festivity in peace even if they're from diferent cultures. I really enjoy see northamericans with the make-up joinning in mexican celebrations.
Try filming dia de los Muertos en Cuidad Juarez Chihuahua Mexico!! An average of 13 deaths per day making it the murder capitol of the world. The poor people in Juarez can't even celebrate anything without the dreadful thought of cartel members showing up to shower the place with bullets. Y la gente de Mexico sin armas, Right to bear arms for Mexico!! Marko Dia!! -TX
Mark, nothing personal, but I want to beat you up and steal your camera. Of course, I'd be happy to forego the beating up part if you want to just... you know, GIVE me the camera. Like, for Christmas or something. ;P
@MarkDayComedy was about to ask you what glass you were shooting with...absolutely bokeh-licious! Been shooting with a 40D for years; moving up to 7D very soon. Maybe sooner after seeing this...
May my leap from this place be hastened and swift upon the wings of devil's flights and demon's speed. To all of this dia de los muertos, don't forget those friends of old times, while making friends in the now times.
It's noteworthy how this shallow DOF "look" is been so overwhelmingly beat to death by amateurs,1st year students, and pro's alike, that it's now quickly becoming a dated technique.
