  • lol... This is the stupidest, funniest, most entertaining video ever.

  • Like if you're 18 and you like the GOOD music!

  • Stalker?

  • Poor Peter! Can't take no for an answer!

  • One of my favorite songs!

  • what a fantastic make-out song.Listening to this on 8track.Thanks Pete.Your voice is irreplacable..Astoria Park,Astoria NY

  • I saw this video when i was 7 in Iran, and it has stuck with me since...but i could not remember the name of the song or band until tonight at a peter cetera concert. Until tonight i thought he was saying "day and night" instead of "stay the night"!!!! I am so glad to have finally found this video! thanks for the upload!!

  • Peter Cetera IS Chicago....

  • i love this song when i was little i always use to say to my mom was 'put the music of the truck blowing up'

  • Peter Cetera is an action star!!! :P

  • at 1:21 when they almost run over Peter, I tell ya, with all the controversy with Peter leaving after this album/tour, I wouldn't be surprised if at least some of the band member really felt like running him over by then!!

  • quanti bei ricordi.........

  • Ah the 80s, when rape was a gentlemen's pursuit

  • Классный клип с отличными трюками!!!!

  • JEFF PORCARO'S SOLE CREDIT OF 700+....FOR CHICAGO. He was called in and asked to take Seraphine's throne for a tune....nowhere is JP listed. It's (no jive) a "ghost credit". He never sat for another session for Chicago after this track....one of my drum bros asked to lay down tracks for another founding drummer's band. I STILL don't "get" it. The snare got SPANKED. It's my understanding Porcaro was NOT a big fan of drummer 'gates'-only using them when it mattered. What a track. !!

  • One of the best videos I've ever seen! Such a well constructed story, and on top of it all it shows what was "Thunder road" that was in GREASE and REPO MAN!

  • Awesome music, smoking hot women and gas under a dollar a gallon. Can we please bring back the 80's?!

  • Great song, that dude never gives up !!

  • this was when they spent real money on videos, and @ the end of the video is zito from miami vice.

  • I seriously didn't see this kind of official video for this song coming...

  • This is my favourite Chicago song :)

  • OMG! 80s RULES!

  • leave the girl, take the 442!

  • Wow. I always loved this song. now that I've seen the video...I'm thinking mace and a restraining order

  • Whatever happened to the 80s? Those were the best of times.

  • @tutorguy1 Rap...

  • Stalker!!

  • Am I the only one who thinks the 442 is hotter than the chick in this video??

  • Daytime when truck flys through Chicago sign - suddenly turns to night when the truck lands and explodes....lol They probably blew the truck up in darkness for a better visual effect.

  • Don't sweat it Peter, I think she's a hooker!

  • They used to play this at all-night skates back in the mid-80's over the mid floor video screen!

  • love peter cetera

  • @puppsi9834 yeah, what evr happened to him!!

  • This was where WWE's Victoria got her gimmick! XD

  • She is just as bad though ,lol.First ,she leads him on then she rejects him , then after all that running around, she is driving the ambulance . With her expression who is to say if her intentions are that of pleasure or pain .

  • Love this even though he comes off as an aggressive & stalker like obsessive perv who is trying TOO HARD to get what he wants .The billboard crashing scene is great ! I gotta rewatch it though .I have not seen it in YEARS .

  • Mmmm....80s video babes. Now I'm hungry. :)

  • That look she gives at 2:36 is enough to drive any man crazy!

  • @gmwforce1972 FANTASTIC teasing video! Love the thrill of the chase!!

  • gracias cappew22!!********** excelente trabajo!! tenia mucho tiempo buscando esta cancion.,gracias!!...

  • did that chick know how hot she is

  • now thats a hot woman. 80's women were the hottest!

  • @uztoobz I agree !

  • @uztoobz

You know ya talkin bout yo moms right ?

  • @uztoobz it takes a really good looking woman to pull off the haircuts of the 80's :)

  • ALWAYS loved this song and video! When it originally came out....well thats what I wanted that car and a girl like that! Got similar girls a few times since then but alas not the car.....LOL!

  • hehehe...that woman reminds me of me back in the day! :) ;)

  • Would have been interesting to know what Terry Kath would have done with that guitar solo.

  • Great guitar solo.

  • Back in the years ,when MTV was playing real music

  • @BE3EL yeah, long before they became a reality network and started playing dumb shows like Retarded Jersey Shore!

  • @BE3EL You mean when they ACTUALLY played music videos...

  • still sounds good when im rollin in my g

  • Beautiful 1968 Oldsmobile 442 convertible :)

  • Chicago fucks nirvana and pearl jam...Rock N Roll Is Alive ....Fuck You Haters

    Obey in The True Music....

  • my favorite Chicago video

  • ah, my old nemesis mr. 240p is back again...

  • αξεχαστα 80ς

  • Happy Birthday Pete.

  • show

  • the rapper

    AMPICHINO

    STREET KNOWLEDGE

  • anyone here know the significance of the car license plate '' HAD 853'' ??

  • @martyn580 Back then, production wasn't bold enough to insert the word spelled out. Sheryl Crow's video "good is good" spelled "sex" in the background scenery several times, now edited out. "HAD 853" is none other than "HAD SEX"

  • The woman in the video is award-winning stunt woman Debbie Evans. She is more recently known for doing some of the driving stunts in "The Fast & the Furious" and "Matrix Reloaded".

  • @sezwho2000 You sure it isn't her sister Donna Evans? They both do stunt work.

  • God I miss the summer of '84...

  • god i miss gta-san andreas,,

  • That woman haunts my dreams....who is she?

  • i remember when this video came out. awesome!

  • The ending is kinda ironic, this song was the end of the Chicago era!

  • I miss my Members Only Jacket ....

  • Anyone HATIN CHICAGO HAS PROMBLEMS!!!!!!!!

  • 1:42, The dude looks like Al Borland from Home Improvement.

  • 1:19 you just know that guy cracked his head open.

  • Wow, Peter did a stunt or two of his own........badass hahahahahaha

  • Despite rumours to the contrary, Jeff Porcaro is NOT playing drums on this track. Check the CD for credits. Talk to Danny S.

  • AMAZING SONG!

  • Damn I would of chased that woman too. She drives amazing, total attitude and the looks to make it happen-and I am a gay guy.

Loved the way women took care of them selves back in the 70's/80's-minus belly fat, tight spandex, flip flops and mega tattoos. That woman is way hot!

  • I love this song. This video is the true meaning of a stalker.

  • @vze1ru3y no it's more like she's being a stuck up snob thinkin she's better than he is. no surprise though it's a girl.....and i'd like to see ANY woman drive a car the way she's driving that beast

  • I remember when this video came out there was a prequel to this with the same car, but I don't remember if it was a Chicago song or someone else's song....anyone remember that??

  • This video is kind of similar to Maroon 5's Misery.

  • @fioredilis Actually was just watching Maroon 5's Misery and telling my girl how it was similar to this old tune. Think the Maroon 5 director got an idea of two from here.

  • Chicago's very 1st vid. Otherwise know as the 'faceless' band. Chicago hit #16 in Billboard, 6-23-84. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx!

  • teleio

  • the most dangerous music video ever filmed!

  • @fashank22 why was there a robocop cameo??

  • @fragglepossem you gotta make it 80's, what better way than robocop? or was that 90s?..

  • @fashank22 Robocop was 80's, that's why it was awesome.

  • Peter's nasty-ass tried to cop a feel!

  • THIS is Chicago's best song, hands down, it's the jam

  • 22 people has no taste

  • One of the greatest videos/songs ever! One of the best albums ever as well. Long live Chicago 17

  • My Car <3

  • OMG this video is AMAZING! Look at all the planning and work that went into it ... today's videos are just people looking in the camera ... big suck present day ... want to turn back the clock to art, creativity ... sure, this is very cheeseball, but it's a project, a proper music video rather than a montage of moving headshots (barf!)

  • @emilyalp Can you imagine the budget that went into this video? I'm no great fan of the "moving headshots" video format, but no indie could afford to do something like this. Pyro, dangerous stunts, property damage - Chicago's record label spent a fortune on this (which the band had to recoup through album sales).

  • χαχαχαχαχ,το αγαπώώώώώ!!!!!!!

  • If only I had done this to my ex-husband.....

  • wonders if whitesnake was inspired by this video?

  • lol this video is so 80's style. i love the guys that pulls up to them and does the background vocals that is so funny. great song though.

  • Wow - that's why music videos were invented. Talk about a video that takes full advantage of the opportunity to expand on the song with imagery and story!

  • LOVE THIS SONG!!! THEY DONT MAKE MUSIC LIKE THIS ANYMORE EXCEPT FOR GROUPS LIKE MAROON 5

  • back when bill champlin had short hair and a beard

  • This is definitely before stalker laws were in place.

  • Who didnt Toto cameo on in the 70-80's lol.

  • @Osbournejames

Chicago the band had very little to do with Chicago the city over the years. By the 80s they were firmly an L.A. band.

  • I'm never sure if I think the studio recording is really Chicago as much as it is Toto with Peter Cetera as a guest vocalist.

  • Looks like he ended up "staying the night" in hospital...

  • Hope the 442 wasnt harmed during the filming of this.

  • @Pwrcritter They were pretty rough on the car in the aquaduct scene - not the spin. I've got to hope that they used a "stunt double" car for those scenes. They don't make them like they used to (another Peter Cetera song from his solo career).

  • @Pwrcritter oh im sure it handled it ok!

  • @Pwrcritter LOL I love it I hope the trash pails had a trip line on em ! LOL

  • A hot chic and a 442 WOW

  • @raydome the 442 is worth more than the girl now days :-)

  • Wow !!!

    Damn good !!!

  • I have tried, in vain, to get this song out of my head for the past couple of weeks. I walk around the house singing it, I watch it on youtube at home and at work, etc. It's just an awesome freakin' song. One of my favorite Chicago songs.

  • I bet that last part of this video, where the girl gets in the ambulance, looks back at Cetera, smiles & then drives off with him is an homage to the final scene in "Twilight Zone: The Movie" where Dan Akyroyd does the same thing to John Lithgow's character.

  • Wait...MTV2 was so lame at one time that they played a Chicago video? I'm not saying anything negative about Chicago. I mean, they're my favorite group. I've seen em in concert 4 times. The videos are just...not what Chicago did best at all. They were really lame, really.

  • chicago is such an awesome group....i love all of their songs

  • this song is amazing....i can totally see why its a classic and its always gunna be a huge hit

  • Is it just me or in a lot of videos that Peter Cetera are in, his eyes are really weird.

Love the videos and songs, but I'm just sayin...

  • I really want Peter Cetera, but I really want that car , too. hmmm... !!!

  • suddenly it feels like april of 1984 to me again. if you can remember that date then you are getting old people.

  • @starsandbarsforever oh hell yea man,,i remember april of 1984!!! i was 16,,sophmore in high school,,and m-tv ruled the airwaves,,along with this killer chicago 17 album!! the class of 1986 is still in session people!! THIS IS WHAT MUSIC WAS IN THE 80'S!!!! GOD BLESS THE DECADE OF DECADENCE,,THE 1980'S!!!!

  • @starsandbarsforever I remember a thing or two from 1984, not sure what months they were in though. LOL

  • Chicago 16-21 had some great songs you can still hear on adult contemporary radio. Sad thing is the group seems to ignore this period in concert. They should know how they were almost reborn at this time and gained a whole new audience, but instead they figure 60's and 70's stuff is what fans want to hear in concert.

  • @John32070 Yeah I never understood why older bands who re-invented themselves in the 80's & had lots of fantastic hits, ignore those songs in concert either. It's not like only senior citizens go to their concerts. There's plenty of us 35 & older crowd who would luv to hear those songs played live. CSNY is another group who ignores their 80's output. Just doesn't make sense to me.

  • this is my best song omg stay the night great chorus

  • This song came out when I was born, but i don't care I love the song and the video! Chicago is still a great band!

  • OK, never seen this video before. Peter Cetera was funny.

  • I Remember Chicago from the 80s and just pulled out the 17 album, and out of curiousity I found this! Funny video alright. Never knew they made videos like this and 'Along comes A Woman' with it's nod to Indiana Jones!

  • Find another woman man..

    this one cause many problems..

  • That woman still haunts my dreams...any ideas who she is

  • Oh, the memories...

This is one of the few videos/songs I remember vividly from my childhood!

  • 19 people didnt get 2 stay the night

  • 19 idiotas are fans of reggaeton gay

  • I was born in June 1980. Everyone, okay not really everyone, who was born at that time listened to the music from the 80´s. Especially the late 80´s music. When I was 12 I listened to this song. So what do I have to say. It doesn´t depend on your age it depends on the music. ...

  • OW!! 80'S RIGHT IN THE FACE!!

  • yeah yeah nmnmnmn Staaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay da nittttttttttttttttttttteeeeeeeeeeee !!!

  • @bolmsp that would be Staaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay "THE" Nittttttttttttttttteeeeeeeeeeee. Da is not a word nor has it ever been a word.

  • @bolmsp well if you want to look and sound like a total moron I guess that is up to you. however anyone one with any brains would agree with me.

  • @LinusofPittsburg WRONG !!!! only a total moron would continue to argue with a closed minded person like that of ur self have a nice life :)

  • @bolmsp you do have a point there, I do not like to think that I a moron however no one perfect. and just wanted to get a point across, however some people that is not possabile.

  • Well, whatever he was getting from her must've been really good.

  • Judging from this song, it's probably best that Cetera left the band. This is pretty bad.

  • YESSSS...THAT WAS A COOL LIL' SPILL THAT COP TOOK ON THAT BIKE

  • I really love this video never seen it before... Never thought I would see Peter doing something like this ... I love it ..... I really love Him as a singer .... Really Love his other video .... Keep up the good work Peter ...

  • This is a great video and great music off course. Now a days you won't see it on TV anymore. It's a shame. (Nice lady by the way).

  • what i never understood was...A. why didn't the band have a member who played lead guitar (this one has a session player doing the solo) and B. why did Chicago sound like this in the 80s?...their first four albums were far better and more "rock" than this stuff...oh, and i know about Kath, who was their original lead guitar player...

  • what i never understood was...A. why didn't the band have a member who played lead guitar (this one has a session player doing the solo) and B. why did Chicago sound like this in the 80s?...their first four albums were far better and more "rock" than this stuff...

  • lol i found my chicago greatest hits , its been along time since i heard this, poor dude hangin off the car lol

  • Surprisingly nice tune from Chicago without brass. This is rare ! The video footage is excellent, the girl is fantastic early 80's look and it's great to see the Police grey Kawasaki 1000's.

  • Man.. he drilled her real good!

  • Apparently Peter Cetera did all the stunts. According to Wiki.

  • 17 ding dongs that don't know music.

  • Great song!!!

  • I've always wanted two random strangers and 2 motorcycle cops to help me stalk someone.

  • ..violent video lol... and looks like Peter Cetera is on one of those future hover boards from Back to the Future 2 lol..

  • I think it's time to buy me a muscle car!

  • MTV used to play videos 24/7 It was great back then now they play ###### The videos these days arent worth it anyways

  • Todays music sucks the big 1

  • is that Peg Bundy?

  • if you watch at 1:24 the part where the stuntman is crawling out from in front of the truck, you can see the truck clip's his foot and spin's him around. The stuntman was really hit.

  • @aax479mm oh shit that mustve hurt like a bitch

  • l loved this song since I first heard it on cassette back in 1989, when I had the chance to experience Chicago rock!

  • best video ever

  • My Favorite car is in this-'cept I like 1987

  • Great song, amazing video. The creativity is amazing !

  • Everytime i see Maroon 5's misery i think about this video

  • EΠΙΚΟ ΤΡΑΓΟΥΔΙ

  • Pete Cetera is such a character.....very good in front of camera.
