  • u did a good job. u haven't showed the worst roads in napa and they need to (stop spending money on red light cameras and start fix all these roads). i know we are popular because of our wine but that not helping the road. they need to stop building new places and fix these roads.. ASAP

  • here is an idea...

have the adult (18 and above) bicyclists be required to register, and license their bicycles, and have them pay certain fees, related to the use of their bicycles, in order to bring in even more revenues for your beautiful city.

mandatory ins. coverage, should also be required of the bicycle riding public.

btw, i lived in napa, on rainier ave. from 1961 until 1967, napa has a special place in my memories.

  • At one time in history, and I'm not sure if it was all states, but anyone riding a bike had to register for a license. My mother who grew up in the 50's told me this. Why gov't abandoned this practice I have no idea. But, you're right. It would bring in more revenue.

  • Wow those are some really bad roads! This is really well made though Seth so good job on this documentry! :D

  • Thank you. :) How are the roads in the UK? I would imagine better kept up than ours. Bad roads seems to be a huge problem everywhere here in the states.

  • Well here in the UK the roads are usually pretty good because the government do put a lot of money in to fund transport and keeping the roads in good condition. There is a few places in the country where the roads may have some pot holes but they usually don't stay that way for long and will normally get fixed. Here in the UK aswell we have speed cameras and if they catch you going over the limit you will get something like a £40 fine, now imagine how many people across the whole of the UK...

  • Get caught by these cameras over the course of a year. The government gets good income from drivers having to pay fines for being caught speeding and I think that is what helps keep the roads in good condition because they put that money from fines back into maintaining the roads and highways. So I think it is quite a good idea really :)

  • I agree that it is a good idea. More cities across the US including our city, are putting in red light cameras to catch red light runners. However, many people feel that the cameras are a government conspiracy. I personally feel otherwise, as I myself have almost been hit by red light runners, so I say put 'em in. If the speed cameras work overall, then I say the United States can learn from the UK.
