Hannett's production is perfect for such dank and drugged-out music. Pills n' Thrills is great but smooths out some of the band's rough edges. Bummed is all rough edges! A classic.

A blog posited a "whose a better poet Morrissey or Ryder"? What? Dissonant comparison. I mean its really really ugly placing them on the same table even. You would get magnetic repulsion. But on different tables or different rooms, its a good night. Silly people. And jus coz we have Durutti and Joy Division on the same Factory label doesn't mean its the same genre and Zeitgeist continuing on. 4AD needed fresh blood too and got it. Its all good but sometimes ugleh out there.

@handsomedevil98 yes please is awesome album but there are music for chill ; ) second track is "monkey in the family". my love to happy mondays starts from joy division and new order , most of factory bands was great ;d and sorry about my english but im from poland : )

@handsomedevil98 i prefered the production on bummed . pils thrills sounded a bit 2 polished and a bit weak 2 me .my favourite track they did is on pills hrills /loose fit but i think bummed is the better album it flows better and is the proper mondays sound in my opinion. i only got pills/thrills recently and i dont realy rate it as an album but im sure a lot of people would disagree
