What Jenny can't earn from Shane is her fidelity because Shane is promiscuous person, a lady killer, and a womanizer. In fact she's not that faithful and she was never faithful with Jenny after all, it was wrong for Jenny to be madly in love with Shane who is her best friend and roommate. That's the truth and that truth is not overrated.
And why would Jenny say that Shane has broken her heart? It does not make any sense at all. Shane never wrote love letters to Jenny, in fact she never laid her eyes on her, and they did not form a genuine fondness and profound affection for each other in common either. Shane's breaking of Jenny's heart is an illusion, in fact she did not steal her heart either. Shane's heart is not meant for Jenny and Jenny's heart is not meant for Shane either.
Shane has admitted the truth that Molly was the only girl whom she truly, really, deeply, and ever loved and was faithful with when she was having a conversation with Bette and Tina in their house about her feelings for Molly.
Shenny is history, the best resolution is that the relationship between Shane and Jenny should end once and for all. There shall be no engagement between Shane and Jenny in marriage.
