Javed00, Rumi was a Persian poet long before Urdu became a language. Iqbal was a philosopher, agitator, patriot and a poet. His poetry is harsh and staid, does not have the beauty, simplicity or flow of his contemporaries: Daagh. Zabaane Dilli is supposed to be the standard. Urdu and English have one quality in common: swallow up other languages' words, have vast vocubulary, easy to start speaking and a life time to have the command. A poet, by definition, has the licence to tell lies.
