  • Ozzie can write?

  • I demand this portion of my life back.

  • I saw this film when I was about 15 years old. Me and a buddy ditched a downtown Chicago high school field trip and bought tickets. As I remember, it was kinda hard to understand....

  • Frank Zappa always maintained that he never did drugs. There's a lot of dialogue in this film, so I tend to believe him (unless he was on coke). If it's true Zappa never did drugs, then this film is probably the best argument FOR drugs you can make.

If people make movies like this straight, then drugs ARE NOT BAD...

    -But that's just me. :)

  • @SousSherpa Yeah right! Frank Zappa, also never had sex,and never died of aids either? He was also renowned for taking the piss!?

  • @LabiaLicker1 read ozzy osbournes book then read frank zappas book...in his bio frank said he doesnt do drugs but in ozzys book he wanted cocaine for his band members or rodie or someone...frank died of cancer.

  • @LabiaLicker1 zappa didnt die of aids he died of cancer

  • @spacepatrolman yes that is true. I have a copuy of this fiom, but not from this source. its weird...

  • @MichaelHansenFUN ozzy is full of shit zappa would throw musicians out of his group if they took drugs

  • @spacepatrolman you need to read ozzys book...

  • Great!... Great! Maxi Boutchou!....

  • god keith moon is goooood

  • Let the good weirdness come and take me away!

  • 1:00:23 the saddest sounding music there is.

  • 15:15 to 1 6 : 05

  • Lol, I still got the original movieposter I ripped off a stand in front of my local movie theatre way back when, never believed I'll see this again ;p Thanks for the trip down memory lane 8)

  • Making any sense is for the weak

  • OOOH MY GOD IN FRENCH !!! SUPER BIEN MA GUEULE !

  • 1'21.04 Is still the best re-imagining of a bad trip anywhere in cinema!

    Thanks so much!!

  • damn it....fuckin youtube keeps stopping it......

many years ago, wired up on weed and heinekens....i would sit in a theatre with about 10 other people and watch this over and over....trying to glean its essence, extract the meaning...

  • still the best damn musical i have ever seen. i mean, there was 'hair' ; jesus christ superstar ' ; king & I ; godspell; etc,(..ad nauseum...) however ..... these can't come NEAR this brilliant epic and i scarcely think there will be anything to top it .

  • Frank Zappa invented YouTube Poop!

  • Forced to undergo the Ludivico Technique, they pumped me full of drugs and made me watch this crappy movie. This is the movie.

  • My God , it's here on YouTube and not only that , it's here completely !! Thank You So Much KingRabbit !!!!

  • Keith Moon is a Nun!!!!

  • Two people ought to be ashamed of themselves!

Can these two people make a film and write the score for said film better than what Frank Zappa did here? I doubt it!

  • Leslie West??

  • Glad this is up.

  • Ringo Zappa!

  • WOW!! THANKS!!!!

  • I bought a copy of "Downbeat", so I could carry it around and look like I'd know what's goin' on.

  • bwahahahahahaha Zappa was such a lunatic genius. simply the most outrageous musician/composer HOW DID HE EVER GET STEVE VAI TO PLAY FOR HIM?

  • @scottsonofwayne because zappa made him wht he is today. If it wasnt for his time with zappa he would just be another great guitarists damned to obscurity

  • Zappa gave me my first opportunities in the music industry. I did some college radio promotion for his ROCK THE VOTE! He was like a Father figure to me. He taught a young punk kid in high school that you can do what you love and the money will follow. Ironically my father died of the same month as Frank of the same disease. As did Telly Salvalas and Bill Bixby..... We lost 4 heroes that month.

  • No way! The whole film? I just shat my pants!!

  • Lumiere" = Light, It's life on the move..

  • The one dislike was colon cancer...asshole.

  • merci! KingRabbit! superbe

  • This video is awesome in quality!!! Is this from a DVD?

  • Stupid story... Brilliant music! RIP Uncle Frank... We love and miss you!

  • @joctheviper1

Stupid story!? You still have to get FZ's conceptual continuity...

  • Very few people had any idea as to what this movie was about. It was mostly shown at Late Shows in urban theaters, where the Mothers had their fans. It was shot on videotape and THEN converted to film stock, which was unheard of. Video cameras in Film were first used by Jerry Lewis, and became known as the "video assist", That meant that the Director and producer could watch the daily shoots on videotape, a MUCH cheaper and less time consuming medium than film.

  • thanks a lot friend for sharing this

  • THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!

  • God, I'd love to know what people thought of this in 1971.

  • @NyeTunes The few of us who actually went to the theater to see it thoroughly enjoyed it [Zappa fans, at least]. Mainstream America was pretty much indifferent ........there were too many other pressin issues to be mishandled.

  • Ugh...distorted optical soundtrack. So important to this movie.

  • Buanna Dick??.....this is not a regular movie.....

  • i have this on dvd and vhs so FUCK YOU GAIL

  • I LOVE LUCY
