Hi! I just discovered your how to sew- videos and they are amazing! I was just wontering if you could please start "translating" the measures into centimeters, because I have no idea how much an inch is, and it's impossible to get a measuring band with inches where I live.. xD It would make it so much easier for european viewers.
WOW! that was confusingly terrible. Really hard to follow. Maybe if you use terms like right side/wrong side instead of rough side/smooth side and rubberband? I have been sewing many years and never heard of that one. Were you meaning elastic? How about a do over with measures and more sew friendly terminology. Nice try anyhow.
hey i love this skirt thx for the video i will try to make this skirt for my niece but want to know do you make for lace pockets and you attach theme together or what? cuz it hard to follow
and since you made the stretch ribbon why do you need pleats for?no need for hemming or serging for satin right?
sorry i have a lot of questions is those 4 lace strips have the same wideth based on you hips measurements and same question for satin stripes need to know wideth and lengeth of each strip?
okay.... i dont wanna be mean but i dont really get it like your explanation is so messy i dotn really know what to do im not sure about the measurings or anything i would love if you could make a more detailed video where you explain slowly and dont cut parts cuz its pretty annoying
Whats DIY? This skirt is so precious! I will definitely try to see how mine turns out :) Keep doing videos! Where do you buy your fabric? Hope to hear from you soon!
not to be mean but y u sell ELF product when we can buy it outsite at target only have to pay for tax . if we buy on your site we have to pay for shipping..... i dont get that part
@flatchestgurl2 i use needle and thread!its slow bt hey!!u get a tank out or in ur case a skirt!!give it go!!after i made ma tank top..it took me 2days!!i was so proud of it!!!lol!!!try making ii!u feel gud!!
Sorry but would you please mind explaining to me the concept of making this skirt after you create the waistband: how do you create/sew the other tiers together/on?? because i'm confussed and i really want to make this! Thank you very much for your time if you reply to me :)
the skirt at the very end.. thats not the proper way of sewing an exposed zipper... you basically just appliqued it to the skirt.. i recommend buying this really good book reader's digest complete guide to sewing.. it teaches you how to do all the proper finishes.
i LOVE the skirt and i would like to make it but i got lost at the bit after you sewed the waist band and the first tier on; when you sew the the other tiers on do you repeat the same prosess you did with the waist band?? if not PLEASE CAN YOU EXPLAIN??! because i really want to make this for a wedding i am going to :) thank you if you can take the time to reply to me ^
Oh i get it! You are already supposed to have your base skirt set up, then you sew the tiers to it! I never understood that concept! You are so amazing. I like to make my own prom dresses and wanted to tire this years!
@ilovecandy1393 Sorry but would you please mind explaining to me the concept of making this skirt after you create the waistband: how do you create/sew the other tiers together/on?? because i'm confussed and i really want to make this! Thank you very much for your time if you reply to me :)
@tarnef you realy dnt need a elastic /rubberband for this project she used it to create ruffles for the matter which can be easily created by sweing a basic stich on your cloth and then pulling it to create those ruffles!!!!!!!
How to make a layered dress hosted by my two ducks ! Please come see it, it's my first video and I really want to help people make their own clothes like lx3lally did to me ! Thanks in advance and hope you'll like it !
doing a long version of this to wear with a peticoat for my wedding dress...glad to see the idea executed! I'm also ombre dip dying my strips of lace in swatches of orange and gray. Hope it turns out!
lol i shouldve listened to my grandma when she was teaching me how to sew with a sewing machine(it was old thoO_O one of those really old manual ones).xD
Hey guys ! I just made a tutorial on how to make a dark blue skirt ! It's very elegant, cute, easy and fast to do ! Pleaaaaaase come check, it's my first tutorial and I need to know by your comments if it's good ! :) THANKS in advance !
Cute skirt...but it was kinda hard to follow what you were doing because your cam was too close when you explained the steps. :) Good explanation but visual view was kinda hard.
@MsLovan aww you can try to google your sewing machine. maybe even someone uploaded a tutorial on it on youtube! i was lucky enough to have an instructional dvd to explain it
Wow, it's so cool that you can make your own clothing. I guess you won't run into the problem of someone else wearing the same skirt as you. ;]
You should definitely stick with this channel. You can't have the good without the bad, and this is where you built yourself up! It'd be easier for both the viewers and you if you put all your efforts into one channel instead of dividing it between two.
will the measurements work for anyone, or are they based off of your size?? what sizes would this skirt fit if i were to make it with your measurements??
@babyv2992010 Oh good question! This skirt was for my measurement! If you make one, you should just measure your waist and hip, then you will know the waist = top band and the hip = the widest part of the skirt! Always add about 2 inches so you have some room to sew!
hi there(: just wondering, what sewing machine is that? because i'd like to start learning how to sew but i'm a complete noob and dunno anything about sewing! thanks(:
nicee tutorial! this is such a cool project to do
anyways, i think that if you're going to use the new channel (which seems a good idea to me if you want to start over again) just strictly use that one for everything fashion, makeup, and etc. otherwise i feel that for you and me, as a subscriber, it's just such a hassle. just a thought(: no matter what though your subscribers will be there for you always!
