  • YOU ARE BRAVE GOOD FOR YOU

  • thats nottt badd u look great!!! im goin for my surgey n have things to ask u if u can facebook me horsejumper1719 at yahoo please friend or inbox me

  • ur verry brave!!!! u go girl!!!

  • For anyone experiencing this issue

VIGOROUS STRENGTH TRAINING, AND CARDIO WILL HELP YOUR BODY OVERCOME LOOSE SKIN!!

There really is no need for surgery, mainly because most who suffer from loose skin still have some fat left over. Which is why the belly, or wherever your loose skin prob is, will appear to be all wrinkly and deformed.

I used to, and still kind of do, have a stomach like in the video. But, with my recent change in my workouts, and diets I started seeing some great results.

  • THANK YOU SOOO MUCH FOR SHOWING THAT!!! I am having surgery on 2/23/11 and I have been wondering ALOT how the skin was going to be. YOu look wonderful and you actually don't have it as bad as I've seen. Thank you again!!

  • not even sure if you will get this or not; but I came across your video by accident and I just want to say THANK YOU....In 7 days I will be getting my GBS and I was so scared about the "after skin" thank you so much for showing me what I may end of looking like (which I think is nothing compare to what I look like now) and I want to say your a BEAUTIFUL PERSON for that I really appreciate your honesty I have a long road ahead and I'm just glad that I have some light on this long path...xoxo

  • Thank you, you are a true hero and inspiration. I have watched 90% of your blogs and love your honesty and matter of fact attitude. I am weeks away from getting my op date and cannot wait to release the vixen that's been hidden away inside. Keep your head high and wow you look gooooood xxx

  • the skin is covered by insurance to be removed, Yours is. I didnt have enough hanging

  • I had the VSG surgery last week. My goal is to go from a size 20 to a size 5. The truth is...excess skin is ugly! Let's not lie to ourselves. Luckily there are soooo many undergarments that can smooth it out these days so it's less obvious! YAY!! Im curious if you are working out? Ive been a competitive Powerlifter up until this point so I have tons of muscle. Unfortunately I have a large belly :( Im headed back to the gym on Monday because I want to prevent as much loose skin as possi

  • wow I got that but not as loose and had no kids but need to lose a lot of weight. I love your size. Wish I could do the same. Glad you are happy without kids and your personality is so inspiring! thanks so much for posting. Enjoy your life honey and stay healthy and happy! :=)) I havbve bad arthritic kness but bllod pressure and increased pain have forced me to take measures to reduce both. Hope to lose 17 excess lbs by Christmas.

  • you looked great than and now - can you please tell me what exercises you were doing for your arms, stomach legs ect ? i already have more excess skin than you and I'm pre op:( also was there / is there any products you used on your skin ?

  • YOU ARE A GORGEOUS GIRL... BEFORE AND AFTER! AND YOU ARE A WONDERFUL PERSON FOR UPLOADING YOUR JOURNEY. GOD BLESS YOU AND I AM SO VERY PROUD OF THE PERSON YOU ARE AND I DON'T EVEN KNOW YOU :)

  • i watch all ur videos

  • hey you

I am so amazed about the way you look now since your surgery. I am planning to have a surgery too. But I wonder if it is possible to gain weight again after years? Or ill you be like that for ever?

    Regards

  • you are so coooool!! congratualtions on your lossof weight. you are an angel for showing us all of it. the good , the bad , the ugly??? not. luv linkee

  • Your openness and courage make you even more beautiful. I am having WLS soon and I have been worried about the loose skin question as well. I understand I won't know what it looks like on me until it happens, but seeing it on a healthy, happy person dispells a lot of the fear. Thank you so much for posting this.

  • you're so brave.

  • Thanks for posting this! I am hoping to get my surgery in a couple of months (pending insurance approval) I have really worried about the excess skin. But you look great, it helped to give me a whole new outlook.

  • ive lost almost 90 lbs on my own, my skin is loose too, but im determined to tighten it up, ive been trying for over 8 months and ive seen so much improvement. i run everyday(4 miles about) and do restiance training at the gym. all on my own. ive gained a lot of muscle and am waiting to look normal. so close..

  • How did you get your insurance to cover the surgery of skin removal

  • By the way, f'ing awesome. I'm getting close to my ideal weight and I am a bit obsessed with my extra skin and thinking it will just get worse. You look great! I hope my skin bounces back like yours! I'm 30 too ^_^

  • I Love u Girl, Just want to hug u

  • your really cute, let me know if your single,

  • Thank you for having the courage to show us!! You look great!

  • you looked great in jeans!!!

  • First, its not hideous. We all have flaws. Some are just better hidden than others. Second, RUN! Running is SO good for you and you're doing great! Just remember to do plenty of resistance training if you run. You don't want to loose any muscle!

Anyway, Excellent video!!! I lost my weight naturally (It was only like 60lbs.) and I always wondered what the downside to surgery would be. (If there was one.) Thanks for your bravery!

  • Ur awesomE GReat iNCOUragEmENT!!

  • It's really not bad, Excercising and working out is the best! You are fine and no one can notice it! you deservie anything you can get. You are a great person and it does not matter what you look like it matters what kind of person you are and u r a great person and it is not funny.

  • I'm one of those you spoke of that truly cares and is not sittin here judging you for ne thing. i So understand the stomach issues I've had twins. Want tummy tuck so bad but have to wait till I can afford it. I'm trying to figure out who to go to. I also need to figure out how to add you so I can email you and keep in touch.

  • Im due to have my lap band here in the next 24 days or so, and I have good skin tone, so I hope to have the same results as you as far as not having a lot of sagging skin, but I also plan on using my area wraps to help keep the skin toned up and Im excited to see just how well they work on me for this...and if they do as great as I have seen them work on normal sized people, IM EXCITED!!! Should start my video diary in the next few days.... You look awesome, great job! :)

  • If anyone says anything about being fat or other crap, SEND them my way so I can kick thier ass.

    Continue

  • how much did you lose?

  • Healthy Diet, exercise to build the muscle mass and eventually your skin will tighten as well. Just remember how long it took to get there and it will take just as long to see a change as well. Good Luck to you Sweetie. People don't understand that when loosing a large amount of weight like that it not only removes fat but also moves and breaks down muscle.

  • there is nothing at all wrong with your arms. every female arms have some jiggle to them regardless if youre abodybuilder or not, women arms arent supposed to be rock solid.

  • Its not that bad, you only have excess on your stomach. Just maintain a good diet after the procedure

  • I have the same thing it sucks because you lost the weight but you still have the excess skin hidding the true body you have

  • I finally decided to the surgery. I have my consultation friday. I have. Watched your videos all night. U have gave lots of information! Thanks so much! By the way, my stomach looks like that now!! LoL

  • Congrats on your bravery! I hope you didn't get any negative comments. Let us know what happens with your tummy tuck - how long/expensive... I'm getting surgery in 2 days. Thanks for the inspiration!

  • I would finally like to comment - First thank you for sharing your progress you made an amazing journey. Your "excess skin" is NOT that bad I was thinking it would be worse in general, the excess skin was a worry of mine and I will admit it. I am looking into trying to get this surgery done within the next month or two. Thank you for sharing your progress it has helped so much!

  • Hey! I am an 18 year old in Michigan and I have lost about 80 pounds about 4 years ago and I have a lot of loose skin myself.. I am so embarrased of it my own fiance has not seen it in the 4 years we have been together.I even lost my desire to do things like running because all i can focus on is the skin bouncing up and down. it ruins my life... I need some help... I have so much respect for you for the information and your openess on this situation..

  • I think the tramp stamp is more embarrassing.

  • honestly sweetie, it's not that bad! :)

  • Thanks so much for sharing! :) You are beautiful and brave! Can't wait to see the rest of your videos!

  • hahahah you're so cute!!!

  • Hi congrats on your wls results, you are an inspiration, and thanks for your courage in showing your hidden bites.I'm having my Wls in march 2010. Look forward in seeing more videos . See ya later from australia :-)

  • I have the same problem but I am scared to get a tummy tuck and it's costly.

  • You look great! I am thinking about getting this procedure done and just wanted to tell you that you are a great inspiration! Thanks :)

  • i have the exact same thing going on now...its horrible...

  • thank you so much for posting this video

  • Have you noticed that your voice has changed? It has gotten higher in pitch! I notice alot of obese people have deeper voices and when they lose weight, they get higher! I had my GB surgery 4 yrs and 11 months ago. The only regret I have had was 3 weeks ago when I had to have emergency surgery to fix a perforated ulcer that caused a massive infection and almost killed me! I have to take high doses of narcotics and alot because we gastric bypass people do not absorb all the med maybe 20%!

  • you are very brave and should be very proud of yourself. i am 34 weeks post-op and have lost 205 lbs and yes, i have much more loose skin than you. Your age does help you and it will continue to tighten to some degree. My friend is 5 yrs post-op and his skin has tightened up very well. good luck to you

  • Awesome job, i admire you

  • OMGOSH... ur vids are so amazing. i was doing some research on wls and i came across ur vids. the transformation is unbelievable!! i am considering wls, but the one thing that really worries me is ALL the excess skin i will have. i commend u on ur braveness & allowing us to have a look @ what ur've gone through. ps, i got stuck watching ur vids for hours...lol.

  • thanks so much for showing your excess skin on the video...i'm 9 months post op and im already developing major excess skin and i just wanted to thank you for your videos i watched them before surgery and you've helped alot. i just watched the snackin video and thats the problem that ive encountered lately and am dealing with it..but anyway i wanted to say thanks! i hope your doing great..have a good weekend! thanks from Brittany in north alabama

  • how much did you lose in total, you look great, i could totally live with that... i have lost 100 lbs, have 130 more to loose.

    YOU LOOK GREAT!

are you going to have plastics done?

  • SORRY, just saw your other vid, your plastics look great!

  • You're awesome!! :)

  • HI, I think you are a star! I'm waiting to hear from my GP to see if they will send me for a gastic band.(I have to try diet pills for another month first) I weigh 110kg or 17stone ish and have managed to lose 2 stone but should be 12 stone! Your vids have cheered me up no end as I see that what ever I end up doing to lose weight, there is a light at the end of the tunnel, so thanks and keep up the good work!!!! Take care love Erica. xxx

  • WOW !!

    you are my IDOL!!!!!

    i love youuuuu <3

    well Done Girlllllllllllllll

    may god bless ya

  • Thanks for showing your excess skin in your video. I wish I had done a video blog of my journey also. I had surgery 2/15/08, and excess skin was my worst fear, but now I have lost 100 lbs and I realize it is much better to have the skin than the fat.

  • you can probably lose all with diet and weright training

  • you still look good

  • Your tummy has way less lose skin then people that have lost way less weigh then you have, your so lucky. You look great to be honest.

thats basically what i am worried about after i lose 80-90 lbs.[weight watchers] but wow you just gave me that extra excitement to keep motivated. thanks

  • You are a great resource! I think a lot of it has to do with how straightforward and kind you are (both to yourself & others). It's good to have someone say, "Hey, this is me. I'm a real person." There's a lot of people following along in your footsteps who are taking inspiration from you.

I have seen your post tummy tuck vids and think you have achieved so much and look like a completely different person, ( on the outside).. Your personality is still the same which is fab! :D .. I wish I could have the courage and money to pay for a tummy tuck.. It's a ghastly sight after having my 2 kids! :P

  • thank you, for the educational value of this video..I am in the first processes of trying for approval of the surgery.. If you have any advice.. Please email me :) Congrats on your success!!

  • Kudos to you for documenting your progress. I can only imagine how many people you have helped--namely me. I am dating a woman who is seriously considering a tummy tuck and I am not sure that I have enough information to support her decision. I came across your videos while searching for information from so called "real people" who already had the procedure and I feel that the information you are providing is eye opening and very helpful... THANK YOU for doing this!

  • You make me smile at how confident you are.You really incouraged me!!!!

  • God bless you for being such a wonderful person ... you are lucky to be so confident !

  • I love this video. You're a wonderful person for doing this video, you're helping a ton of people gain cofedence. I look up to you for all the good that you do.

  • you are a beautiful women and you give me hope .

  • Hi

I just wanted to say you are very inspiring, and you have alot of guts. I am about 160 overweight but I would be happy losing 120 lbs because I am not a young chick anymore, LOL. This is scarey but I have been thinking about it alot lately. I am not rich, how did you pay for it, is it covered by insurance? Please let me know.

    Thanks from Burlington

  • yeah I had insurance cover it, the plastic surgery doc will make the case for you...

  • You're really inspiring. A friend showed me your videos, and I think I might be... convinced. <3

  • Awesome work! I'm gonna start watching your videos..

I'm having a tummytuck in june, so I know how you feel..

  • Were your legs ever fat / do you have excess leg skin? My friend has about 7 inches hanging on her legs.

  • Thank you for being so brave. Actually, I didn't think the saggy skin was so bad. Did you actually have surgery to remove it? Again, thanks.

  • I want to thank you for this I need to fine your before picture at where you started at I should go for my surgery on 3/30/09

  • Hi beautiful Amelia.

Here in spain you are such an inspiration.

Dont ever doubt your testimony is so important.

    YOU ARE IMPORTANT FOR ME.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR COURAGE AND GENEROUSITY.

  • Hey Girl! You look great! No worries, you've done a great job!

  • How much weight did she lose??

  • wow, i've just been sent my registration letter to start the process to get my gastric bypass..i was so worried about the excess skin, but really, that is alot like what my stomach looks like now. hanging, but with fat!! i could live with that until i had the surgery to lose it. thanks so much for sharing, it's really not that bad!! you are beautiful

  • Its really not that bad!! Keep up the good work and the kittens are adorible!

  • I love the part when you squished the belly and tryed to shove it back in. :D I've totally done that!!!!! Amelia for the win!! (I hope I spelled your name right!) And you are beautiful!!! I know I'm really far back in your videos still but you look amazing! I totally agree about the skinny chick who had triplets comment you made earlier!

  • Your skin is pretty good actually! It's going to look even better soon!

  • Thanks so much for doing thst. I have just had my lapband surgery on 19th Dec 08 and have been extremely obese since early childhood and am now 38 and have had 2 children which has also added to my weight. I know I will definitely need plastic surgery after I have lost all my weight (43lbs down) still about 100lns to go. PS: You look ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC. And anyone who would dare to leave a nasty comment obviously does not understand the achievements you have made. Really proud of you.LOL Karen

  • Thanks for sharing!! You look great, even with the extra skin. I've been very concerned about the excess skin issue. I've decided that it won't matter, because feeling healthier will be wonderful. Good luck and wish you the best w/the cosmetic surgery.

  • hey it did not look too bad. I can understand wanting a tummy tuck but it does not look as bad as I thought it might. :)

  • So happy for you!!

I had 3 kids and my stomach looks just like yours only bigger!

I am at 245 pounds and desperate to have my body back!!

  • It really isn't that bad! My god you have done so well! :D I have friends who have similar tummies just from having kids LOL so no worries!

  • you're so cute you remind me of kelly clarkson

    you go girlfriend

  • It's really not that bad, hun. Congrats on the weight loss. You look great!

  • Wow - thank you so much for posting this video. As someone else who has lost a lot of weight, it is nice to see someone else out there validate their problems and insecurities with excess skin - I know I am not alone.

Thank you for being so brave and honest!

  • That is awesome!!! You have moxie girl! Your stomach actually doesn't look that bad for someone who's had the surgery. I've had a few family members who have had it plus seen a lot of Dr.90210! Congrats on losing all the weight! I just started watching your videos and I love seeing your journey!

  • what was your waist size before the surgery? Approx....

  • very brave!! GL

  • you are very brave!! It helps all of us that are considering having surgery. You are an awesome individual, you are a wonderful and empowering soul.

  • Hey, I think that youre vid was great. It really made me feel like I can be myself with excess skin and still be me. I lost about 90 pounds in a course of 6 months and have a flabby tummy. im 16 years old so...not really gonna b a model but hey Losing weight feels a hell of a lot better than just having a little skin to worry about. I'm 16 years 0old and Ive read on hundreds of articles that the younger you are, the more of a fighting chance u have to snap back. but i love your vid...keep it up!

  • wow very very brave to do that i applaud u

  • yeah i know thats gonna come my way too when i lose the weight. but seeing you be so open and honest about it makes me feel more brave in having to deal with it in the future. thank you :-)

ps. if you could comment on my weight loss video i would be thrilled.

  • U go girl :D:D

Thanx alot.....U r helping meto keep going :D

The hole hair loss and excess r my obstacles...I hate looking at my self now

but hearing u talk about it makes appreciate the waight I lost

    Thank u so much

P.S. I love what u said about the hurtful comments ;)

  • lol dude you are totally my new hero!

  • on oktober 10th i got my gastric sleeve :)

    Thank you for sharing...

  • You are awesome. You're beautiful as all get out with the extra skin and without. Hell, you were beautiful when you were overweight! You've got a spunky personality, btw lol! I have been nervous about having a bunch of extra skin if I lost a ton of weight, but it's probably a lot healthier than carrying it in fat, rather than excess skin.

  • I would rather be bald and have excess skin than to still be 305 pounds. As I have shown you can get a tummy tuck, and I can buy a wig if i go bald. You can't hide 305 pounds.

Go for it! The weightloss alone just FEELS amazing. Doing everything is easier when you lose weight. Walking, cleaning house, everything!

  • Wow that's totally what I'm going to look like too since I have an apple figure...meaning I have a big stomach and smaller legs. I have average legs but a long torso. So, thanks for showing this. It's really not that bad and your butt and legs are so small! That's so awesome Amelia. I'm so happy for you!

  • You are awesome for doing this...you look pretty good considering how much weight you lost. I look worst and its only from 3 kids and with them I never weighed more than 200 in my life. Good Job!

  • wow. I'm thinking about gastric but I still have my doubts about it. I actually weigh

    1/4 ton (500 lb) but I don't have any major health problems yet and I'm tall (6' 9 1/2").

doctors have the avg. weight for a person at certain heights but I don't know mine. well

keep on pushing to your goals and gr8 vid.

  • you are awesome amelia. tomorrow is the big day then huh? good luck w/everything..can't wait to see ya' =)

  • You look great. I really appreciate all of your videos. I'm still waiting to see if i'm approved by my insurance. I won't know until December..

  • thank you for doing that, im going to be in the same vote. i had my surgery on the 20th jan 2008 i have only lost 20kg, which is not much, why and how i dont know why?

  • you are still super hot. having this surgery will simply help you feel better. I applaud you and your amaazing accomplishments. LOVE the arms!

  • I am having the same surgery real soon. Thank you so much for showing us. But for the record. I think you look great.

  • thanks sugar!

  • i have the same thing... thank God it could be worse.. you exercise like me so its not the worst it could be.. i think its tolerable but still gross.. the belly button thing on me is the worst, i hate that sagging skin under it. remember it could be worse.

  • Gonna kiss it goodbye October 10th!! Thanks girlie!

  • I appreciate you showing me your stomach, I can honestly say that the tummy tuck will be wonderful for you. Your results are going to be awesome because your damage isn't that bad. You look great and very healthy.

  • KUDO's Amelia. Honey it took alot of courage to show it, And you are still BEAUTIFUL! that wonderful personality you have makes you even more Beautiful. Thank You so much for showing it. Because it has let me know what i need to be expecting in the future. You didn't gross me out at all. Its only skin! it can be removed. YOu are still Cute By the way. I hope you have the best of luck with your tummy tuck. God bless you beautiful.

  • i just want to say....THANK YOU FOR SHOWING YOURSELF.......i knw it was hard but it helped it REALLY did ...i hear about loose skin and see pics on line but this was the first time in a vid...it helps me knw what to exspect for myself......THANK YOU

  • You look great and you've done an amazing job! You are also really courageous to show the truth! I think your videos are really amazingly helpful to any one considering taking this journey. Nothing horrible. This is all good and you are great!

  • Omg! You are soooo brave! Your skin looks ALOT better than mine. Just switched dh's insurance now and I'm PRAYING they cover surgery for the skin. *Crosses fingers*

  • you look great girl. take my hat off to you for putting yourself all out there. You have nothing to be ashamed of sweetie. You look so good. glad i found your channel.

  • You are one of my role models!!!!

I just happened upon your videos and think you are amazing!!!! I'm going to catch up on them.

Thank you for being brave enough to be so vulnerable. I'm still to intimidated by the sight of my OWN videos that I won't post them. I can't even watch them and I'm fully clothed (sad but true). I go for my first doctors appointment for lap-band on the 24th of this month.

Congratulations on your success and good luck with the plastic surgery.

    --Lee

  • You'll appreciate the videos later. I was horrified by my first vids too, but you get used to it and you change over time

  • I am so new to all this, WLS and all these videos and there are still so many to see yet.I have just made a decision to have lapband surgery and I have watched all your videos and you are so inspiring and NO you are not gross even with excess skin. so great :) Love the jeans and shir! Not too bad

on the excess skin. You hide it very well ;)

You are still a hot lady :) Great vid :)

    Hugs & Love, Melissa :)

  • Your still beautiful! And I appreciate you showing this video, its helpful and brave on your part.

    Thanks for all your videos.

  • Hello..i just recently had wls on 08/18/08 and this was one of my main concerns.. thank you very much for this video.. it was just what i needed to answer all of my questions. you are doing great.

  • Amelia Thanks for being so brave... most of us who have had children have that same "lovely look" afterwards so it won't be as horrifying to others as you may think. I think you will be very happy with your results after PS. I wish you the very BEST! My GBS is happening on MONDAY! I look forward to your comments and videos. If anyone else is a new GBS please mail me. THANKS

  • Thanks for showing, now I know what to look forward to.

  • Amelia loose skin or not you are an inspiration to me. I'm so happy you are getting everything you wanted out of this surgery. Good luck!!

But wat u have gone through is amazing...and it is refreshing to c ur self esteem! • I had my surgery April 18th,2008 and I totally get all the things that you are talking about. I have flabby arms and it drives me nutz! But before I had my surgery I thought about all the negative things, like the excess skin, hair loss, and all the other "things" that go with having Bypass. Givin all that I've went through and still have to go through....I LOVE my BODY! Amelia, You are just as BEAUTIFUL on the outside as you are on the inside! Thank You for your inspiration!

  • you are amazing! thanks for sharing Amelia...for someone preparing to have RNY you are such a WONDERFUL help! Thank you thank you thank you!! Keep on doing what you're doing, your amazing!!

  • You still look great Amelia! The skin is no big deal. You could wear something to compress it so it won't jiggle when you run. You were very brave to post that...I don't know if I could ever do that. You are a strong woman, many people look up to you. We are all curious too, so thanks for showing us that! It helps to know what is coming down the road! I can live with excess skin if I HAD to, but I'd like to get a tummy tuck someday too. Might as well go all the way to total hotness! Thanks again

  • Amelia, I am not a weightloss surgery survivor, I stumbled across your channel several weeks ago when I was searching for weightloss motivation. I look forward to your updates because you are incredibly motivating! You are very very courageous and I follow your posts religiously, good luck with the tummy tuck - keep up the great work, god bless.

  • Amelia.. you do look great. I don't feel alone when it comes to the loose skin. your right your close hide it. Your arms are grea. they dont sag. It muust be the working out you do. Are you going to have a tummy tuck?

  • I love when you talk about your skin- it's great! I will be forwarding ths video to my sister, because she is having the same issues- and I love your attitude about it! Good Luck with your consultation, and have a safe trip to Florida!

  • Amelia, my opinion of you would never change b/c of some stupid excess skin. You are still gorgeous. Im just glad that you have the balls to do this sort of thing. There arent many people out there that would. I dont think that I could do it. And you do look great! I cant wait to hear about how things go w/ your plastic surgeon today.

  • Amelia I think you are still beautiful even with the lose skin!!!!! I agree that no one see's it and like you said in clothes you look and feel great!!! That is really great that your insurance covers it though and there is nothing wrong with having it taken care of. Thank you for sharing this with us all!!!! I am almost 5 months out and I know I will have the lose skin too. It is already that way some, still some fat with it too. But I LOVE the way I look in clothes now!!!!

    Hugs, Kim

  • I think your progress is great.... My Dr. told me someone our age should wait until 2 yrs before getting plastic surgery. Can you tell me what your dr. said? I'm only in my 4th week but I want a flat stomach eventually too..... Thank you

  • I was approved and my surgery is gonna be just 11 months post-op from my Gastric bypass. Every doctor is different

  • ohh myyy goshhh. you look amazing. ok, it may be that 90% of ppl will have the same excess skin in that region, & thats ok! look at the rest of you! it makes me sooo much more confident that you've shown this. :) i appreciate it because i know that i have a chance at looking as good as you. when i lose a lot. LOL. i have more to go that you did...but wow. :) you've done a great job, and i can't wait. and your arms..WOW. i am going to pray that mine end up as nice as yours lol. :D <3

  • Amelia you are amazing!!!! thank you so much for being so so honest!!! im just beginning on my journey and you have inspired me more than anyone!!!!! my first consult is on the 25th sep so fingers crossed x x x x

  • Amelia,

You are so brave your excess skin is not that bad at all I so commend you for getting plastic surgery. I wished my insurance would cover it because I don't have a money tree in my back yard . You look amazing I am sure you are so proud keep up the good work.

  • what type of insurance do you have? I have the same problem with extra skin I have Signa do you think they would pay for surgery if i ask for it? pls re-ply : )

  • Hi, i have watched about all of your videos - wow you have done a great job expliaining everything an being honest. Your extra skin info is very helpful. I only have one more task to complete fo the insurance approval part. i hope my insurance will cover mine - it does if "medically necessary" I already have some issues from gaining alot of weight with my daughter so fast so i know it will get worse - i have 200 ounds to loose. Anyways thx for the videos and maybe i will do some soon

  • Honestly, it's not so bad. I can see why you want it removed, but it's just not as bad as I worried it might be. But that's the thing - I had no idea what to expect, had no idea what it looked like... so I'm really grateful that you showed us. Very cool of you. Woo hoo... I'm one week post-op! Saggy skin, here I come :)

  • thank you from a pre-oper for being so honest and brave! The excess skin has been an issue I have thought a great deal about. I am still ready to deal with it to get healthier. You are such a beautiful person inside and out-we are not disappointed but admire your bravery to share something so personal with us. You have inspired and taught me what you cannot get from any WLS seminar. Again thank you for being so brave and honest! Stay safe from Gustav and remember you are an inspiration.

  • Amelia, I recently wrote to Nicole and now you. I want you to know that you are a god sent. I thought about MGB for over 10yrs but until I found your journals I was clueless as to what to do or expect. It's going to be a while before I can get the surgery:( hubby is taking a new job in TN. CONGRATS on getting your tummy tuck and I hope all goes well. You feel like a friend even though I don't know you personally. Can't wait to start my own journal. THANK YOU for sharing all your experiences.
