  • It takes a significant portion of the backyard to have a good G-scale layout, fortunately with Z-scale, all it takes is a coffee table, dresser, or suit case to get the same.

  • @tarmac2001

You will get more layout choices in Z but you gotta have good eyes to see all the little details...Some people have once thought It was a small snake crawling on the table!

Bigger G trains are just cool monsters!...You can run even live steam and they are tough enough to run outdoors...They are instantlly film able and not like the the blurry z- scale model that is hard to keep on focus.

  • Lol

  • lmao thats funny

  • Please tell me something for the g scale model. Is it electric or battery operated? Please tell me its really important for me now :) !!!!! Thank you in advance !!!!!!!!

  • @JesusBlack14 there controler power operated or you can get batrey operated ones if you serch around

  • @themarioinatux Thanks :) I just bought the same from ebay but I wanted to be sure that that one is electric :-)

  • lol nice

  • LOLOL

  • Its Called a 4-6-0 "Ten Wheeler" not a "MONGUL". a MOGUL is a 2-6-0.

  • Yo dawg...

  • Comment removed

  • where do you get the z scale.my younger brother wants them bad

  • @Joseph75882

Go ta Hobby shop in your area or a model train shop... There is a Fact that most of these shops will still be hard to find or rarely carry all types of trains in different scales.

I personally buy all my stuff on E-bay under (model trains- Z scale)... You will need to get a starter set or collect the train- track and transformer to get a train rolling...Good luck on your search!

  • @sanddragon99 thanks man i got the now

  • Hi, can anyone tell me what the little z scale train is called. Or is there anywhere you can get a big hauler in Z size ???

    Thanks if you can help.

  • @djlaney87

It is the MARKLIN z (mini-club) Model Einzelteile der Lokomotive 88035 , Known as the Denver & Rio Grande western...Mongul....Can be still found occasionally on e-bay for maybe around 300-400 dollars.

  • is tht a Backhmen locomotive, cause i have one of those except my is red and sivler

  • isn't that abusing your trains? those z scale trains are delicate and expensive plus those trains can last a long time if you take good care of them

  • is it smaller then n?

  • @kirbyfan600

Z is smaller than N...Look it up online about this scale!....also is quite difficult to model, find supporting scale models and is still quite expensive, but if you are still persistant it is actually possible to fit a realistic uncompressed layout!

  • lol

  • I have been thinking about a railroad for myself and really didnt comprehend the size difference when talking about a Z train...damnnnnnnn...that Z is iddy-bitty, but I think I am going to go with that scale since I donr have alot of room.

  • @shooteraod

Check E- bay for Z scale locomomotives, track and power units... these tiny things can be set up on a coffee table and I take mine whenever I travel and set them up everywhere!....try doing that with G gauge!

  • man i thought n scale was frustrating z geez maybe when im 60 ill have the paitance for it

  • "MOGUL", not "MONGUL "

  • what an upset, z scale has done it again!!! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • Toppling over on tiles would not do the G-gauge loco much good, either. But running Z-gauge track between the rails of G-gauge track is pretty unique.

  • was the train alright

  • That was actually highly entertaining. Nice work. Random, but nice

  • Now that's just Gumby Dammit stupid!!!

  • 1:01, I Expected A Crash

  • You don't even deserve model trains.

  • I am already cursed by the fact that I have no room to commit to a permanent layout so all I can do is collect some and run temporary tracks always knowing I gotta put it away.

    ...My , My, Derailed again!

  • lolololololololol

  • You could have destroyed a good Z locomotive like that. >:(

  • @WilbertVereAwdry

You are so right, the video was never really planned on a collision as it is too expensive to damage the Z locomotive and cars but while filming this all alone I was not able to syncronize the speeds of both engines and the crash did occur!, Lucklly the little engine passenger cars tripped the G and no damage occured to either!

...and the Little engine kept on rolling!

  • Owned! 2x

  • naturally the bachamn train loses.

the stuff produce make is WAAYYY to inconsistent.

  • LOL too funny.

  • That's insane!

  • Im surprised nothing was broken!

  • Wow, What a great video!!! It took me a while to get past your other videos. I will spend some time to see them all. (Z scale town in a bottle. Wow) Z scale on the sand castle. Wow! RC schooner. WOW.!

  • Thanks for viewing my crazy video collections. I will be posting better video covering z train inside bottle!

  • Ahh, the old mixed gauge crash

  • Daaammmnnnn that was a small train!

  • how big was that tiny train

  • The z scale locomotive and its tender connected is less than 4 inches long.

Each pullman car is 3 inches long from coupler to coupler.

The G scale locomotive and tender connected is over 2 1/2 feet!

  • were u get it z scale

  • You can Find Z scale trains and all of the other gear easily on E-bay, Entire train sets are found in very well established Hobby shops and model train shops like "Ready to roll" I would buy all my stuff individually on E-bay but dont forget to get the power unit transformer to electrify the rails and control the train!

    These trains are not Cheap!

  • lmao!

that was too funny....i thought for sure that z train was history!

    nice vid!

    peace

    ---jerry

  • This is so retarded that someone would think of this but its pretty funny. *****stars

  • id lol if someone did g vs t scale

  • wow notice how they are both bumble bee locos ITS LIKE MINI ME nice vid

  • LOL the little guy won! The G scale train fell over, but the Z scale's loco kept on going! (never mind the cars...)

  • Those cars are also expensive!

The car set costs about 200 dollars!

The film footage wasnot really planned to involve a collision but more like a chase!

at least you now know who won the match!

  • you idiot you could have broke you z gauge stuff

  • Ya ... you are right! the collision was actually an accident waiting to happen. I wasnt actually planing to run over the Z but was distracted filming and not syncronizing speeds. I was very lucky nothing was damaged.... In a new video just posted the engine is seen running just fine~!

  • crazy how it can go threw g scale track thats how big and small lol

  • Actually I think I can place Z flexi track within HO Flexitrack and bundle them all within a G scale set and have all 3 scales run in syncronization by controlling their speeds without ever touching each other!

  • ok kid your normal lol funny as hell

  • FUNNY Stuff

  • This clip proves only one thing: The bigger they are, the harder they fall! LOL

  • Yup!

  • ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

  • yum yum yum ha ha nice

  • Nice music dude

  • That was good lol

  • So much win

  • Not much of a fight there. Was the z-scale ok? Looked pretty brutal, lol.

  • The Z loco actually kept on running after the trailing cars disconnected and thus tripping the G engine, and I should have turned the camera so everyone could see who won the fight!

The Z train is still rolling!

  • great imagination

  • wait, so who ends up winning?

  • The z train LOCO won by tripping the G off its track. the Little engine is not among the wreckage at the end of the video and I wished I had pointed the camera at it instead of shutting it off!

  • is that a silverton & durango engine, cuz ive been looking for one

  • It is the Bachmann G Silverton & Durango Loco that is sold in the Big Haulers set, I have seen some for sale on e-bay...good luck!

  • is it sturdy and durable or just the cheap kind of g scale you find at WalMart?

  • Actually quite durable and not cheap at all, It has many fine parts that are just as good as LGB although the latter is said to be waterproof! It spews out smoke and If you can open it up, I am sure you can add more lead for tractive effort and even a tiny video camera in the cab! my only complaint is that one of its driving wheel sets are not tractive.

If you want something better than this , try Marklin or LGB but that is expensive!

  • Whoah Marklin train Are EXPENSIVE To Own.

  • Only burns the wallet... Hey its only money!

Ok yes it stings and I paid dearly for my passions! LOL!

  • I like your additude.

  • Ha Ha

  • You Sick Evil Person

  • Rated E for EVIL!

  • more like David VS Goliath: Train Edition

  • Amen to that!

You don't have to be big to trip Goliath!

  • at least the engine got away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • That little train is still at large- BEWARE OF THE Z!!!!!

  • May I assume that the G can go over the Z safely, on the straight strip?

  • No safe passage here! Z track is placed in the middle of this G scale track- It is probabbly better if Flexi track was used to conform to a centered G track...Actual operation of the trains in both scales... They must never meet! In this senerio the operator must sycronize the speeds of both engines so that one can never catch the other.

    This film shows operation failure.

  • not much of a fair contest was it? haha

  • No the whole operation is rigged and runs on rails!

  • good vid

  • Why thank you... Enjoy!

  • the z scale loco made it but the cars and g scale got owned

  • Good observation man! and that Z-Engine is still at large!

  • lmao that was great man

  • Looks Like They Both Lost.

  • waste of money

  • only a waste if the trains are wasted!

I My trains are still rolling and that was a one time experiment-

I 'll never do that again!

  • The Music made it 70% better

  • the z scale train didn't have a chance

  • I think everybody's I.Q. went down a tad after watching this video

  • love the music its good

  • idk bout you guys, but i loved it!

  • I Feel sorry for the Z Gauge train.I model N Scale.Great Video.

  • the Z train never got killed! the g train only tripped on trailing cars and all are undamaged!

  • i cant believe you wasted a nice z scale train for that if you dont want the z scale i will take it

  • The Z scale is not wasted at all!

only the cars were in volved in collision- Locomotive escaped!

I never really crashed the engine and I use it a lot!

this whole scene was never ment to actually end in a crash or at least not at that speed!

  • oh you need to get matching cars for the g scale so they both run on the same track like a bigger train like the z scale train

  • That would be cool to have matching cars in G but I only saw a matching set in bright yellow. the perpose of the video was really to show off the possibility of running a track inside a G scale track using 8510 and 8500 z scale track, no flex track!!! the jaws theme was a last secong idea!

  • i like idea of running z inside g it saves space on having two layouts and you don't walk on the z scale track

  • Im gonna experiment later on with flexi track in HO N and z all within the G oval as soon as I can afford it!

  • you should use duel gauge using n and z together or handlay the track

  • Lol you put scary music in the background! Fits with the movie nicely!

  • the bigger they are, the harder the fall. Here, it is SO true.

  • Yup!

    Well said.

  • LMAO! super funny! so did the z scale train make it out ok!

  • That train cost me dearly and believe it or not that Z loco never derailed and was still rolling, I should have kept filming !

The Z train is still rolling!

    BEWARE!

  • LMFAO@ awesome!

  • Beware the Deadly Z that toppled the G!

  • BEWARE THE SINSTER Z! LOL

  • LMAO oh thats a brilliant idea! The big train crushes the little train and then it falls over in the end ROFLMAO! That was awesome, 5 stars!

  • Actually that was not the plan, I was originally planning to film a little longer and was hoping not to crash at all!

I guess it really answers the Question if size always matter.

  • Beware the killer little Z!

  • LOL, yeah I was pretty sure that the G scale locomotive wasn't supposed to tip over but that was so hilarious though!

  • Funny and original! Great clip.

  • Thanks , If I ran a model train shop I would have this type of funny set up to show off the many scales in model trains!

  • ok original idea!

  • Thanks. Maybe I could lay a more permanent lay out but this was just to see if it could be done.

  • hahaha..nice one..that inspires me to try doing that with my g-scale vs a real scale..LOL..jkjk

  • I don't think anyone has ever thought about placing a scale within a scale like this,Maybe someone else will try it.

    - and train crash!. LOL!!!

  • shazam!

  • HAHAHAAH THATS WAS HILARIOUS its so funny seeing the smallest scale on one of the biggest

  • Ya, I am sure no one ever thought about doing this so just for kicks it had to be done!

  • That's so cool! I wasn't expecting that outcome. lol

  • Ya I was not ready to crash them yet - It was total Luck that the little guy could trip up the monster and still get away!...Note the Z is missing ahead of the crime scene!

  • No train was Damaged in the making of this video! ... and the little guy is still rolling, WATCH OUT!
