uci made the final call. EVERYBODY (even sauser) knows that roel can beat him in a man-up sprint. roel didn't draft as he clearly was stronger at the finish. either way- it's always good to see the good fight won!

Paulissen è una merda, se avrebbe avuto la forza per vincere sarebbe passato al lato opposto, il vincitore morale e reale è senz'altro Sauser. GRANDE SAUSER
Completely agree with zaoprince. Sauser did not change his line. A racer does not have to "parallel" the barriers. A racer only has to not change their line in a dangerous manner. Sauser didn't. His straight line was one that did bring him closer to the barriers at the end. Paulissen simply picked a bad line and caused a crash in an attempt to salvage it.
Algûn dìa Sausser criticò a Phillip Meirgaegh por tramposo y no paro de hablar de èl,y ahora yo me pregunto, esto que es? .Sausser :"mas rapido cae un hablador que un cojo"
I think you are wrong. Sauser should have allowed more room for Paulissen since he could see the barriers closing in and the the crowd/photographers interfering. On the other hand, Sauser had the lead and with it every right to protect it, but was not that far ahead to block Paulissen like that. Finally, IMO Paulissen should have chosen a different line by slipstreaming Sauser and coming up from his left - there was distance aplenty until the finish line and he had the speed.
I would like to retract my initial comments. The sprint finish, as shown here, is partial and therefore misleading. What this video doesn't show, is that coming up from the previous bend Sauser is gradually forcing Paulissen to the side. Paulissen, while maintaining his line, rushed to rightfully squeeze his way past Sauser, but the latter had ensured he had nowhere to go (blocking), hence the accident. I believe it was foul play on part of Sauser and a fair call on part of the judges.

sauser didn't do anything - he was ahead when paulissen tried to pass on the right and the road curved. i hope he wins his appeal.
