I live in the same tiny town that Eric Church lived and grew up in. My sister goes to school and one of her teachers was once engaged to Eric Church. It's a very small town with just a little people. Also, the same town LHP Madison Bumgarner for the San Fransico Giants, grew up and lived in. It's amazing and truly a blessing, gotta love North Carolina and it's beautiful scenery. I fish up on Wilson Creek just about every weekend, I hunt in Elkin where the Elk River is. Thank God for everything.

we live in lenoir which is about 10-15 minutes from where Eric is from. Granite Falls is a very nice laid back area. There ain't much to do here but it is awesome. All you need is your friends and family.

I grew up in the flatlands of Virginia, Tobacco and Soy cover fields as far and as wide as you can imagine. Our roads didnt have painted lines, it was lucky if they dropped tar on the rock when they resurfaced. I called it home sweet home until this past June. I made the move to a small town near Asheville, Nc. The mountains still blow my mind, its a great place to live.

For example, I can easily say that Eric Church, Ridley Bent & Dean Brody are among my favorite artists right now. However, their sound isn't for everyone & that's fine.

I mean, I really like Taylor Swift as well, so why knock her just because he sound might be a little more universal or whatever?

The common thread is that these guys actually write their own music and write about what is important to them. The result, for me, is a supply of songs (for the most part - record companies still get their hands in the process quite a bit) that I believe as true.
