Just curious, have you ever tried Cytomax? I've used it quite a bit for mountain bike racing/training and it does a good job of keeping electrolytes where they should be. Adds some flavor, but I usually add a couple tablespoons of Hammer Gel too. There are some calories involved, but you'll burn them up anyhow.
Camelbak.. great for biking, humping around in the desert or anything really. Dont let mixed cytomax sit over night or you'll stink it up and may ruin the bladder.
Was that jar of electrolyte powder you showed called "Bottle-lyte"? I googled for a while and couldn't find anything. I see here that you mention Hydralite, but the container looks different.
Very important and an often overlooked practice. Great info, really appreciate it! Also, the right amount of unrefined sea salt in combination with water is the best balance. I drink nearly a gallon a day. Read up on what Dr. Batmanghelidj has to say about it.
Non-Hexagonal Hydration is what he is talking about here. Just because you are not thirsty, does not mean you are hydrated at the atomic level.

I am sure it is fine but I think it has caffeine in it and I try to avoid diuretics when in the heat.

GREAT VID, that tac. response vid logo is a bit alarming tho.

Alarming? You have GOT to be kidding.

I wish, but now that I think about it, I guess in this context the logo works great.
But for me elicits a certain gut reaction, but I'm not a professional nor have I had a revolver shoved in my face-Thank God.
Sorry to waste your time tho.

It is a Glock Model 19 semi-automatic pistol, not a revolver.

ORS is great but using Hydralite before it becomes an emergency is better...and it tastes better than ORS.

If I have a painfully full bladder can my body tap into that if I near dehydration? Seriously.
novan3 3 years ago
Knock yourself out but urine is waste and certainly not the best source of hydration. I suggest water or even better Hydralite.

That's awesome to bring up stuff like this. It's important to be able to shoot and maneuver, but it's all for naught if you don't drink. Good job!

Training or everyday life, excellent lesson. That's the kind of stuff that should be taught in physical education.
