This is a "muraena helena" type moray eel, they can be maxximum 1.5 to 2 meters. That one was more than 1.5 meter, so, it was big for his specie. I've seen biggers too, but not possible in Mediterranea.
yeah....its really cute when they attack u for no reason...if he hadnt noticed and passed by...it would most likely attack and bit of a finger or flesh!!!
