  • No don't discard it - it has LOTS of uses in the kitchen! Lard is only bad for you if you use the store-bought hydrogenated stuff - the natural home-rendered lard is just as healthy as EVOO! Those "bacon bits" are Cracklings and go great in cornbread

  • Discard the fat? I thought this was going to be a video about rendering fat and using that fat for other cooking or baking purposes! My Depression-era grandmother would not approve.
