I've read this mount works with the HTC Thunderbolt too :) I just ordered one for mine, so we'll find out for sure. I'm HOPING that it'll work with the thin hard case I'm using with my Thunderbolt...
Cant they just make it so that it will charge without wires, seems like a lot of trouble hooking up cables in the car. The aux then USB, TOO MANY CABLES!!!
hey, do you think this would work w/my vertical A/C vents? are the vent clips snug enough for that you think? and also i have the white hard case (i think it's amzer?) that sprint stores were selling...has anyone tried it to see if it fits? thanks!
Unfortunately it does no work with one of those rubber-like cases. I tried with the one manufactured/distributed by HTC for the Evo and it would not fit in mount. There is still a slight chance that if it was in a thin hard case it might work.
I got one too and it works great!!! Perfect for the HTC Evo. I just need to test it with a case, I haven't got a case yet but I have a friend that does I'm betting that it will work.
@passmeabrewski Glad it worked out for you! Let me know how things go with a case on it. I really need to get a case myself... I seem to be dropping my phone far more than I thought I would considering how careful I try to be with it, haha.
Any issues with scratching or wearing on the edge of the phone where the clips grasp the phone? I am considering getting this but I am also considering getting a slim case to protect my Evo. I don't think I could do both. This looks a lot better than the bulky alternatives out there.
@passmeabrewski Not at all. The clips are a hard plastic, but they also are very smooth, and near the base there is a thin strip of rubber to provide better grip. I really like it. The alternatives I looked at had (in my opinion) too much extra plastic.
@prboy2500 Yep. I actually have a head unit that has USB, Aux, and Bluetooth, so I use Bluetooth to connect wirelessly. Then I use the USB cable to keep it powered up if I'm using GPS + Pandora (or whatever) on a long trip. Granted, I haven't been on any long trips in the past 3 weeks I've had my EVO, but that's how it's set up :)
Does it bounce a lot? if it fits an evo it should work with an iphone 4 with a thin case, in you opinion.
Is it durable?
thanks

Wow! Thanks a lot dude! I just bought an HTC HD7 and was looking all over amazon for a stand that would allow me to place it on my desk.
Does the suction cup hold on tightly to a wood or plastic desk?

Does it shake while you're driving when mounted to the windshield? It didn't appear to be prone to shaking while in the vent.
