Defense attorneys love the reasonable doubt standard in criminal cases built on circumstantial evidence because they know the prosecution is doomed to fail. Very few juries want to send someone away for life (or sentence them to death) based on circumstantial evidence. A slam dunk for the defense if they create any alternate plausible theory.

Am I the only one who thought the judge was incredibly biased in favor of the prosecution? I watched as he sustained objection after objection for the prosecution but when Jose Baez objected it was a different story. I counted 17 objections raised by Baez and he was overruled 15 times! During the closing arguments Baez was overruled EVERY time he objected. And why does this blowhard Nancy Grace keep referring to Ms Anthony as 'Tot Mom'? I thought she was saying 'Hot Mom'!

Like her or not, Nancy Grace speaks the TRUTH here. I have always believed that whether a person is innocent or guilty they have the right to be defended in a court of law and as horrible of a human being as Casey Anthony is she had that same right. Still, I find it dispicable and tasteless for these defense lawyers to sit in a bar and toast their monumentous victory. Defense attorneys love the reasonable doubt standard in criminal cases built on circumstantial evidence because they know the prosecution is doomed to fail. Very few juries want to send someone away for life (or sentence them to death) based on circumstantial evidence. A slam dunk for the defense if they create any alternate plausible theory.

You'd have thought she never stepped into a court room the way she let her feelings mask the flawed case that was presented. She ignores the fact that the prosecution screwed up with going for the party motive and not backing it up well, the forensics evidence was all over the map, & the investigators came off as third string. What you are failing to realize is that most people who defend Casey still believe she is guilty of killing her child or being involved in her death in some way. It's not that we are happy she is free. We are happy that our justice system worked and understand that letting 10 murderers go free is better then convicting 1 innocent person.

Am I the only one who thought the judge was incredibly biased in favor of the prosecution? I watched as he sustained objection after objection for the prosecution but when Jose Baez objected it was a different story. I counted 17 objections raised by Baez and he was overruled 15 times! During the closing arguments Baez was overruled EVERY time he objected. And why does this blowhard Nancy Grace keep referring to Ms Anthony as 'Tot Mom'? I thought she was saying 'Hot Mom'!

Doesn't this hapless shemale realize that it was her exploitative and very profitable coverage of this case which enabled an indigent like Casey Anthony to get an experienced team of attorney's to defend her? Grace's obsessive and juvenile fixation on Casey opened the door to her freedom (Grace is too dense to understand this irony). Grace used this case to bolster her own career. She's a vile and homely woman who transformed a very tragic death into a cottage industry.
