  • The idea is that by Jewish religious law, eating insects is an act of impurity. Our first priority as Jews, is to obey our Godly command.

  • I just ate strawberries, and after watching this, i lost my apetite

  • This and mite videos are a great way to cause "moral" vegans problems.

  • I know these bugs, I like to eat them, they are my friends

  • this video is for germifobes. fuck that

  • I use 1 gallon of water with 1/4 cup white vinegar ad 1/4 cup hydrogen peroxide. Soak 10 minutes, rinse really well and cut the green tops off. It kills everything. except you. :-) Master Gardener Linda

  • so what? it is just a bug ppl eat Bugs all the time and some of them in chocolate!!!!

and so what if i get a Tapeworm losing a few lbs would be nice.

  • protein's good for you. okaaaay?

  • I'd rather eat the bugs than ingest the soap water residue...

  • ahhhhh forget about, just eat them

  • I wonder if this is for non-organic strawberries or organic. I don't think I've ever looked closely at a strawberry for bugs but I do wash them and cut the strawberry like he did. There is a fruit and veg. wash that is better than dish soap and you don't have to worry about getting "the runs". :)

  • @LizKS48 even non-organic have lots of bugs

  • @LizKS48 You can use plain white vinegar to wash them in. It is acid and has been proven to disinfect foods almost as well as an antibacterial soap, and it won't give you the runs. If you rinse them well they don't have any sour taste.

  • It's no problem eating some bugs. The danger is to ingest tapeworm eggs.

  • bugs can spread disease

  • how are these bugs bad for you? seriously if you haven't ever seen them or tasted them and you have most certainly eaten some and nothing happen... what's the point of all this?

  • @octafbr my aunts works for melaleuca and she says that these bugs would go to your brain and they would start eating it

  • first of all, very informative video.

I think that the soap would be more harmful than the bug. Plus, whats wrong with the bug? You can hardly see it and taste it.

And cutting off the top seems like such a waste.

  • Nothing wrong with eating the bugs.

  • @veffari religious jews refrain from eating any bugs due to kosher guidelines...

  • @sendspamhere6666 Then they are crazy. There is no way to avoid eating parasites and commensals. There are little critters on and inside absolutely everything we eat, even in certified kosher foods.

  • @Timrath a reliable kosher certification will ensure absolutely no bugs in the certified products

  • @sendspamhere6666 if its something absolutely teensy, like only visible under a microscope, i think its not considered a bug anymore.

  • @MiiSsERiiCA perhaps. these insects are easily visible to the naked eye though....

  • hvern langar í jarðaber??

  • wouldn't the stomache ache kill the bugs anyhow? A friend e-mail this to me. Very thoughful, but the bugs have been eatten since the begining of the berries. no deaths or sickness. Use Dawn dish soap if you do wash them, but make sure all the soap is gone or you or your serverd will find yourself on the toliet. Happy commping...☺

  • @blogan77 Probably the stomach acid would kill the bug but not a tapeworm. It's just better to wash all fruits and vegtables before eating raw.

  • Nice
