congress and senate was in charge of turning the money out to them . and then tax payers was watching those two . I think it time we put a group of watchers and seers in with congress and senate and start working first at the basic and the work our way up.there's just too many deals behind the doors going on Like it Dodd add to stimuluis and not knowing whos asking for it to be done???

If bonuses are earned by the amount of business generated by the execs,how the hell is taking a handout from the government generating business? These overpaid execs are getting money from people who can't pay their mortages.Why is the American Government permitting these execs to rob us by classifying the money they skim as "bonuses"? Why weren't these companies given loans instead of handouts.Loans don't qualify for bonuses.

Mr Bush and Paulson may have put it foreward without any input from congress yet back then Mr. Frank (D-MA) did not protest in fact he voted yes. It seems comical that this man trys to disown a vote solely to stop the heat, yet many know that Frank voted aye.

The fact people in Mass. keep voting for him makes me never want to visit the state. What are they thinking? The guy is the worst back-stabbing hypocrite. Maybe we should only pay Congressmen when they produce results.

Don't bother visiting the state. I left it in disgust. It's a gross hole that used to be historical. But now, the country is pretty much dead so don't visit the place it used to play as a toddler.

The fact that Frank, like many other politicians, is a disgusting hypocrite is very hard to dispute...

However, it is equally disgusting to me when people at the top are paid huge sums of money for doing nothing, or even worse, for driving their company and the whole economy over a cliff.

Few years ago, the ratio of the average CEO pay to the average worker pay was around 40. Now, this ratio is 400. Enough said, I guess.

I agree, it is not fair. But allowing the government to place a cap on what people earn is pretty scary thing. It is not fair that Brad Pitt makes 20 million to shoot a movie, when another actor can't get steady work. The market demands Brad Pitt so he gets paid a ridiculous amount. For exectutives to make 400 times the amount of the average worker is insane, and we should scream about it. But the government should stay out of it.

If we own 80% of a company that means WE are the boss. That means WE set compensation.

And as for Frank, I don't hear anyone else speaking out against things like this. or about military spending. or a multitude of things. he's a good progressive voice for our state.
