Remake FF7 and FF8, I would gladly buy a playstation (as I'm an xbox man) just for those games. Honestly, I would go out of my way just to own them proudly on a diff console which I don't even like that much....
VII was the most overrated Final fantasy to date. Don't get me wrong, it's a good game, and a decent FF, but X was just the best one i've ever played.

I believe this is what Uematsu had in mind when he first composed the battle theme. Not to bash the one in FFVII, though, I don't mind the sound. But I have to admit, this kicks some serious ASS.

Unlike Sephiroth, her name wasn't pre-existing (taken from the Sephiroth). That woulda' been a mess: Thephilos, Sephiros, Sephiloth etc

Does everything that happen in Japan have to happen? Cloud struggled all the time against Sephiroth, and Zack really only got to fight him once, so you can't just assume that because Cloud beat Sephiroth he could beat Zack.

Cloud fought Sephiroth with Ultima Weapon, 2 partners (by himself and with "Dual" swords in AC when Sephiroth wasn't in God Mode).

You're right. And Cloud didn't totally adopt Zack's traits. Zack seems to rush into things, carelessly, stupidly. He almost seems like an older version of Sora. Cloud is far more thoughtful, careful. And Cloud doesn't steal Zack's story, he's just shattered by his friend's death. He's a "weaker" character than Zack. Zack is an unrealistic character, someone who isn't affected by their friends death, always charging in, always the hero. Cloud becomes more real, because of his flaws.
Zack does become affected by the death of his friends...If you dont remember, he mopes about the death of his best friend and mentor. He is also conflicted throughout the story about whats right and defending honor while he confronts all three of his idols.
Maybe I didn't mean he's totally apathetic to it but it seems unreal. This still being said, I cried through the whole ending, and I felt for Zack, much more than I've ever felt for Cloud. I was just trying to make the point...that Cloud isn't the mindless zombie everyone thinks he is, and Zack isn't the God everyone claims him to be. I just want people to see, that even if Cloud adopted Zack's traits, they're absolutely different.

Mostly because a lot of people believe that ff7 was far better than any final fantasy game and yes I agree it is the best. However since ff9 was released after ff7 the gamers were expecting something far better than ff7 but most believe they didn't get it. Personally I never played ff9 I only play ff1 ff2 ff3 ff4 ff5 ff7 ff8 ff10 ffx2 and ff12. So really my opinion is kind of... Anyway the point is ff9 came after 7. The gamers expected more. Most think it sucked because they played ff7 first.
I played and beat FFVII before FFIX and I think FFIX was better. The bad part about FFIX is that is doesn't have materia, that's the only reason why I think gamers wouldn't like FFIX. I think trance is better than limit break, too.

@PhixedAice i wouldn't count it out because he's dead i mean, it's final fantasy anything is freaking possible, if Aeris can make a cure for a plague that was the equivalent cancer and incurable by even magic/materia, then cloud can fight zack, besides I'm sure there's some way to bring him and Aeris back from the dead anyway.

Cloud VS Zack, Cloud would win, coz Cloud is far more experienced than Zack were, Cloud got better materias and equips. Higher value of Maku and Jenova cells + Aeris covering his ass.

Does everything that happen in Japan have to happen? Cloud struggled all the time against Sephiroth, and Zack really only got to fight him once, so you can't just assume that because Cloud beat Sephiroth he could beat Zack.
Remember, Zack beat super jacked up Genesis, by HIMSELF, with the original Buster Sword.
Cloud fought Sephiroth with Ultima Weapon, 2 partners (by himself and with "Dual" swords in AC when Sephiroth wasn't in God Mode).
If you ask me, Zack could still win.

Cloud is not based upon Zack, pal. Cloud exists longer than Zack. Zack has the same battle position as Cloud in CRISIS CORE. Final Fantasy VII is ten years older than Crisis Core. And you prove that your arguments are nothing - Cloud is more emotional than Zack. Seems like he has his own original character.

He is frightened of Sephiroth because he knows that Sephiroth was able to control him. He is always worried about his friends because he knows that they could get hurt or they can even die because of his enemies.

You're right. And Cloud didn't totally adopt Zack's traits. Zack seems to rush into things, carelessly, stupidly. He almost seems like an older version of Sora. Cloud is far more thoughtful, careful. And Cloud doesn't steal Zack's story, he's just shattered by his friend's death. He's a "weaker" character than Zack. Zack is an unrealistic character, someone who isn't affected by their friends death, always charging in, always the hero. Cloud becomes more real, because of his flaws.

Zack does become affected by the death of his friends...If you dont remember, he mopes about the death of his best friend and mentor. He is also conflicted throughout the story about whats right and defending honor while he confronts all three of his idols.

Maybe I didn't mean he's totally apathetic to it but it seems unreal. This still being said, I cried through the whole ending, and I felt for Zack, much more than I've ever felt for Cloud. I was just trying to make the point...that Cloud isn't the mindless zombie everyone thinks he is, and Zack isn't the God everyone claims him to be. I just want people to see, that even if Cloud adopted Zack's traits, they're absolutely different.

Mostly because a lot of people believe that ff7 was far better than any final fantasy game and yes I agree it is the best. However since ff9 was released after ff7 the gamers were expecting something far better than ff7 but most believe they didn't get it. Personally I never played ff9 I only play ff1 ff2 ff3 ff4 ff5 ff7 ff8 ff10 ffx2 and ff12. So really my opinion is kind of... Anyway the point is ff9 came after 7. The gamers expected more. Most think it sucked because they played ff7 first.

I played and beat FFVII before FFIX and I think FFIX was better. The bad part about FFIX is that is doesn't have materia, that's the only reason why I think gamers wouldn't like FFIX. I think trance is better than limit break, too.
