  • That one dislike, is Alexander.

  • theres been so many great games, and their soundtracks, particularly , but amnesia and its story is just so beautiful

  • That 1 dislike is Daniel...

  • @Intact0Gamers yes, that would make sense...

  • Beautiful and haunting all at once, slow at first before descending into a quickened, feverish pace and slowing just at the very end. Great great theme~

  • Why cannot I give a like to this song?

  • @KapteeniMursu Eerrrr, why? ^^

  • @MrLMxD Because I already gave it, I much give MOAR

  • This has to be the most epic theme ever.

  • Daniel: I live in London at....at...

    Me: Mayfair.

    Daniel: Mayfair!

    Me: =3

  • Epic song

  • My name is.... I am.... Daniel

  • Making this a countless end and beginning, and a everlasting story. I have no space or time taking responsiblity of me. I am alone and trapped in Nothing-ness, and cant resist from it. Blood and flesh does not exist in my world. But one thing will haunt me forever, and never stop. A shadow is following me, and i cant escape.

  • The trolls are late.

  • "I did the Right Thing!" - Daniel when he is exiting the castle after killing Alex!

  • I don't know why, but for me, this music fits to the destiny from Werther from the book 'Die Leiden des jungen Werther' from Goethe.

  • 1) Pauze this video

    2) Go to: "The Slender Man" - Movie Trailer

    3) Mute the the trailer

    4) Play this link simultaneously with the video above

    5) Never sleep again

  • cant do it, ps3 does not allow background app running

  • lol

  • probably the only peaceful song in the whole game a have no regrets let it out kind of tune. This actualy makes me tear some times.

  • This music is so beautiful, but makes me fear for my life at the same time... it's got that "have no regrets" feel to it...

  • @Weegeewazhere2 Their is three endings...

1 - He Dies Horribly and with a Heavy Conscious

2 - He Takes Revenge and Lives with a Free Conscious free of the Shadow

3 - He Sacrifices Himself to Save Another Person and Then Dies after killing Alexander but then That Person Resurrects Him!

  • @ReadMeNameBOY That's your theory on the Agrippa ending. It doesn't have to be accurate.

  • Daniel disliked this..

  • @Bodjonas Alexander did

  • Fantastic game whose music grants it a perfect atmosphere. Absolutely well done! :D

  • I want this playing at my wedding.

  • This song left me speechless, I can't find the words that describe this... Except those.. And those... Oh and those... AAAAAAHHHH!!!!!!

  • Can anybody please tell me the name of the soundtrack playing on the |Amnesia: Justine| tittle screen? I think it can also be heared in some parts of the game i'll sub to who tells me.

  • @Danger4Life1 I don't think anyone has the exact song, but I believe "Suitor" is pretty close to it

  • @afsmeg thanks :)

  • @Danger4Life1 You can hear it in Chancel if you go there before you find all orb pieces. You can also find its sound file from game's folder: Amnesia - The Dark descent --> redist --> music --> 22_amb . It's OGG file, you need to convert it to MP3 file with program if you want to listen it.

  • @DeathRow200 thanks that helped me a lot! i'll sub to you mate :)

  • "Daniel... Daaaniel...! Ah, there you are, Daniel"

Oh God, how much I hated that Baron's voice...

  • I haven't gone through the whole game - when does this play?

  • Ponychan? Wait, what?!

  • You can just see Daniel triumphantly walking out of that castle at the end of the game...Or dying tragically...It fits either scenario to be honest...

  • 1 dislike. Alexander's obviously jealous.

  • I am listening to this song as my friends are deleting me from facebook. (Start crying)..There is no true meaning of good and evil. The personality of my friends cannot be well predicted. The "good" friends can be your evil one (they may delete you without reasons)

  • @Kennychan222 I'm sorry for you. But think of it this way, if they truly cared about you, they wouldn't do such a thing; they wouldn't ignore you. I've been there and felt the same.

Pretty powerful theme music. This game is perfect in so many ways...

  • I'm scared of the top comments now.

  • Damn Daniel, you have one awesome song!

  • Love this song! But I never hear it in the game, which parts of the game does this song play?

  • @Earlybird2468

Parts of it play in one of the endings, and in a couple notes I think.

  • @Earlybird2468 As I remember this one plays on all flashbacks(like you read a note and go into the past)or one of them.

  • @Earlybird2468 The credits and during Daniels journal entry's.

  • stuck between these dark walls, listening to the raindrops falling & listening to this.

    ...

    Concentrating never felt better

  • Wow. I had no idea how epic this track really was until I listened to it all the way through.

  • 1 dislike. I believe Mr. Face got access to a computer.

  • @TheIrishTroll Nah, Mr. Face isnt THAT heartless. This seems like the work of Mr. Tall.

  • This video is really hard to find for the grunt of Amnesia. 0 Dislikes for the win.

  • WHY IS THIS SO AMAZING AAAGH!? This piece of music right here is GENIUS. It just fits Daniel so perfectly, it makes me want to cry tears of joy ;w; *shuffles off to draw something inspired by this* >w>

  • Its weird when the top two comments are both complaining about the top comments being the same...

  • Interestingly enough, the three-note motif this seems to be built on is also prominent in the title theme.

  • Daniel's theme is like when it starts it symbolizes all the bad stuff that Daniel did and the middle through the end is like his road to redemption.

  • Comment removed

  • no dislikes.... :)

  • It's interesting when both top comments are meta talking about top comments :3

  • I want this played at my funeral.

  • @JoshuaMouncer YOU MEAN...TODAY? MUAHAHAHAHA

  • This is so beautiful. Perfect theme for Daniel.

  • The guy who composes the music for frictional games, is truly an artist. His work with music is truly some of the best Iv ever heard. Very artistic

  • Am I gonna take the virginity of the dislike bar?

    Nah, this is to epic

  • @MyScorpion42 there were short stories made, all of which had cliffhangers. I want a novel personally.

  • Comment removed

  • @MasterFen006 I would bet money Penumbra as a movie would be made just like Resident Evil. It was already somewhat Resident Evil 1-esque, imo.

  • where teh mp3 fer this :(

cause i cant find ones anywheres on google

  • ...why is the soundtrack to VVVVVV in the suggestions? SLIGHTLY different type of music, really.

  • A movie of Amnesia... This requires some thought. It seems like the movie of the game itself would be kind of bland... But I bet it would make a great book, if someone ever decided to do that.

  • @DauntingOverlord I think there are some novellas.

  • @DauntingOverlord

Yeah, a novel with tons of exhaustives descriptions ala Balzac, would read it twice in a row !

  • It's weird when a top comment is commenting on a comment it replaced...

  • @mutehero7

i like it when the top comment is commenting on a top comment that replaced a top comment that...

    ah fuck it

  • @mutehero7 We must go deeper

  • A movie would ruin everything :P. Playing the game and being the character isn't the same as seeing this character in a movie.

  • is there video to how to play this soundtrack it wil be awesome if i can play it

  • And now... I merely await my death...

  • The intense epicness startled me

  • Thumps up if you think Amnesia is the best horror-logic game ever made

  • Beautiful

  • Regarding the movie idea, I think they easily could make it a full hour and a half movie. However, they don't need to include Daniel's entire time in Brennenburg. They could start off with his journey in Algeria, show a bit of his time at home before going to Brennenburg, and his time in Brennenburg, before he drank the amnesia tonic. And from there, they would only have to include the important parts, up until he finds Alexander and the game ends. It has potential to be a great movie.

  • I think if they really tried they could pull off the storyline, some of the actions, and the chase scenes in a short movie. Definitely not a full hour and a half film, but string together the plot with someone reading Daniel's letters and other notes, using the soundtrack and you've got great potential.

  • Made by finnish man. Also, its Tarmia not Termia.

  • from 4:00 is just <3

  • Amnesia? Is that a game of some sort? I can't seem to remember...... Alexander told me to forget about it. He is prob right.

  • Laughing out loud, the two top comments are stating the completely different opinion xD

  • Could as well be my theme. Yes, I am not as awesome as all the other people that assume so.

  • this song's kinda sad

  • @SaphiraHorse Well, being trapped in an old castle with amnesia after you've done horrible things to other humans would make you rather sad, no?

  • I like how the top comments have completely different opinions.

  • 1:43 That song is awe inspiring :(

  • PAINT THE MAN CUT THE LINES

  • This track scared me EVERY time I listen to it! Not even kidding! It is so horrifying and AWESOME at the same time. It definitely describes the way Daniel develops in the game.

  • Also, the Resident Evil movies didn't suck and neither did Silent Hill, thanks.

  • @Lexandreax well.. the first resident evil movie was good. The rest were..... shit..

silent hill on the other hand was a great movie.

  • @Eldwinn meh...I liked them

  • @Lexandreax thats cool, to each his own.

  • @Eldwinn obviously

  • @Lexandreax cool story bro

  • @Eldwinn thanks

  • Something I forgot to say... No dislikes in this video, no wonder why

  • I haven't played this game yet (because I have to buy a new graphics card... T_T) But I'm sooooo sure that I'm going to cry when I listen to this song...

  • 2:35

    tears in my eyes

    jizz in my pants

    this is fucking beautyful

  • Alexander of Brennenburg

  • If you dislike this, Mr. Face will get you...

  • @ItsHooplaProductions Or Mr. Tall.

  • @AkatsukiStalkerlol Or Mr. Cage :D

  • IMPOSSIBLE GEOMETRY

  • @digit4ld3thx10 Wow, does it reference to Daniel's memories? Recognized this phrase at once, you get my thumb up, sir!

  • This and Resident Evil 2 has some of the best horror soundtracks.

  • My name is... is... I am Daniel.

  • @ALEX33red It's funny that you sit at the bottom of the comments with no thumbs up really and you have the right quote while the top rated comment guy with 119 likes doesn't :)

  • @12walkietalkie13 Thats 122. >->

  • @ALEX33red  Grr >:{

  • i pissed

  • 0 dislike... I'm not surprised. <3 Amnesia

  • Where can i download this song for mp3?

  • @Peacekeeper48 You should search in Google how to download YouTube videos in .mp3, there are a lot of sites where you can do that~

  • No doubt the makers of Amnesia are masters of horror games. Penumbra 1 is still my favorite but this title comes up to the same level.

I will never forget the story of Daniel. Never could i vision how this game would start, or how it would end. So much sick stuff happening there between.

  • Ahh made by a finnish guy...

  • "As Seen On: Ponychan - oat"

Words cannot convey the disapproval of my frown.

  • @CuckooNow daniel is a pony obv.

  • @CuckooNow Obviously the people at Frictional Gaming are bronies.

  • @CuckooNow wors cannot describe the happiness of my smile..

  • one word: beautiful.

  • If they did an Amnesia film, my first and foremost criteria is that it be pants-shittingly scary. I mean come on, Amnesia is just... fucking terrifying so that is the number one expectation here!

It should give that same feeling of terror and panic and helplessness that is present in the game. That's what I'd look for in an adaptation. :>

  • @lishakara A book would be much more immersive.

  • @TheConsoleGamer2K10

    Maybe, provided it was well-written.

Still, I was talking about a movie, and what a challenge it would be to make one feel that way.

  • @lishakara it would be quite easy to make an amnesia film as for all the darkness and since you only know what daniels hand looks like the voiceactor for daniel could do it.

  • @TheVideoMenace1 actually, there IS game art for him and it shows his face

    .

  • @DWNmetalman777 Ok then plastic surgery :P

  • They'd have to do an Amnesia film very, very, *very* well otherwise I wouldn't bother with it. It'd have to be long enough, gripping enough, emotional enough, grim enough.. or it'd be rubbish. I wouldn't bother with it. And I haven't even played Amnesia.

  • I do not know why, but listening to this brings me to tears.

  • Fuck! anyone got an Oilamp around???

  • "I fear for Daniel, for he is reckless. He is tainted by the approaching shadow and will not be able to pass the gate. Will he be able to accept this in the end?

My love, I've seen evil in him. How am I to trust him with the truth? What cruel irony that I have to do unto him what Agrippa did unto me."

  • It's Tarmia

  • Such a terrifying game. I loved everything about it

  • I personally think that a movie would ruin Amnesia, just like any movies based of video games (Take a look at the Resident Evil movies)

  • @DaFan86 I agree. Some games should just be left as games, in my opinion.

  • @DaFan86 shut up those movies never existed DX never!

  • @DaFan86 If Amnesia were adapted into a film it could very well be the greatest horror film of all time. That is, only if it's written and directed correctly. What ruins horror and mystery films--all films in general, actually-- is the abundance of BAD screenplay writers. Not even to mention poor acting. What makes Amnesia so great is the immersion, and that's probably the greatest challenge a film crew would face, other than getting around gimmicky game mechanics.

  • @DaFan86 I agree! A Hollywood made film would fuck up totally! But perhaps an underground filmmaker with alot of potential who make a short film as a dedication would not ruin anything. :)

  • @DaFan86 No why you may ask because amnesia has an actual plot

  • @DaFan86 But a TF2 movie... That's another story.

  • @DaFan86 The movies are better than the games. Fuck the canon; Milla Jovovich is hot. :3

  • @DaFan86 It would be extremely hard to do, i mean how do you replicate a puzzle in a movie? but if it went well i'd love it

  • @DaFan86 dont forget doom!

  • @DaFan86 or Alone in the Dark *shudder*

  • @DaFan86 I agree.

  • @DaFan86 The border between movie and video game is becoming more and more blurred out. As video games are becoming an art form, they are becoming more and more interesting to simply watch, as well as play. In a way, it sort of already is a movie.

They could make a movie, but it shouldn't be a direct adaption. Rather, a different story in the same universe, like the Justine DLC is.

  • @MyScorpion42 I have to agree with that, yet I'm skeptical. With a movie a lot of psychological things that made the game so, well, freaky, would not translate to the screen. With the video game a major factor was that you *were* Daniel. In a movie you'd simply be watching him.

  • @Amphy720 That is true. The line between game and movie is blurring. There are games so linear that you might as well be watching a movie. But there are also games that are practically movies being made as you go.

We can't emulate the feeling of being able to lose. So we would have to replace it with something else, if that's even possible.

  • @MyScorpion42 It would need a lot of things to work, starting with a great director. But, knowing our luck, we'd get one of those directors..."Forget the psychological crap, let's focus on the weird alien part! And where's my romantic subplot?!"

  • @Amphy720 "WHY ISN'T EVERYTHING EXPLODING?"

    -Micheal Bay

  • @MyScorpion42 -"AND ROBOTS. MOAR ROBOTS" -MB

  • @Amphy720 "MAKE THEM SPIT OUT CRAPPY ONE-LINERS CONSTANTLY! MAKE THEM STUPID, RACIST AND ANNOYING! They will be so terrifyingly bad characters, the movie will be THE SCARIEST SUMMER BLOCKBUSTER OF ALL TIME!"

    Michael Bay

Seriously though: awesome game, nothing like it (except maybe the Penumbra series) I hope we will see more of it, be it more DLC's or a sequel.

  • @MyScorpion42 I suppose another DLC could work, if they do it right (otherwise it would just be repetitive and/or cheesy). However, I'm actually hoping they don't have a sequel. Considering the multiple endings it would be hard to satisfy every gamer, not to mention that it would be hard to match Amnesia's artistry without being too repetitive.

  • @Amphy720 I guess it would be pretty wierd to make a sequel that only fit with one of the endings. I'm sure there are still plenty of game mechanics that would work in a game like this while keeping the style. And I'm certain there are still lots of horror tropes left to be explored.

  • @MyScorpion42 It's Frictional Games, I'm sure they still have quite a few tricks up their sleeves :D

  • @Amphy720

    that is indeed the point

movie can never be so immersive and terrifying as a game like this

i would, however like a some kind of movie covering some backstory of amnesia

it must not have daniel on it.

  • @vzq93 If done right, that could be very interesting. Hmm...

  • @DaFan86 I actually thought those were awesome but I can watch an action movie with no story and be entertained :P

  • This is perfect for movie soundtrack.

Amnesia is one of those games that would be a really good horror movie.

  • Amnesia is fantastic. Main characters I've encountered are often very likable, a hero-in-the-making somehow.

But Daniel has only 1 ending where he can be the hero.

The rest of the time, he's slowly becoming insane and the monster Alexander is.

  • To murder an guilty man to save my self i acept

but what have i done now...
