Sorry to those who disagree but...

If someone was gonna play scarecrow it would have to be someone who isn't really famous... otherwise you will just see them for the other roles that they are famous for. For example Hugh Jackman... unless he was wearing so much makeup that you just can't recognize him, I would just see him as wolverine or the guy from Australia :D Anyone agree??

I completely agree with you. I was thinking, when people were saying on some other site (don't remember what it was) that George Clooney might be playing him that it was wrong. I mean, as much as I love GC, he's just all wrong for it! For once it would be nice to see the character's physical traits make it from the book to the movie intact, you know what I mean? All they have to do now is find someone who looks like him that can actually act. Someone unknown, I mean.

Mark Whalberg for scarecrow, Robert Downey Jr for book,,, and Hugh Jackman?!!! Why waste him on Scarecrow when he was born to play Jack West Jr!! If they do settle on it being number 1 they could quite easily kill book in the guilotine and lose mothers leg to a shark. It can be done but it.l be crap. Personally I think they should mek Hell Island first. Use it as a teaser movie like pixar do.

i can understand how you feel, though whenever i tried to get anyone into the books and explaind what some of them are about they always asked if it was a movie lol. i would just hate them to make a movie out of them then have the movie turn out to suck. there is a lot of potential for it. the scarecrow release was january 2nd in the states, managed to have a friend send me a copy from australia though so got it early February.

Scarecrow was by far the worst book I have EVER read and 7 ancient wonders wasn't much better, the only part I liked was when Wizard's wife was brutally killed but Wizard wasn't there to see it which really pissed me off.

yeah its too bad these werent made into the movies they probably would have been the best of all time but on another note Delta Team 7 isnt all that fictional since the United States Navys version of them, the Naval Special Warfare Development Group, has a team, the Gold Assault Team, that is quite similar to them in being the "elite within the elite" or the best out of all the units or teams since they are described as their premier Assault Team (the other two are Blue and Red)

I think you're right Christine8D. There is too much in Ice Station and Area 7 that can't be skipped through in just one film using "flashbacks" (if that's what you can call them). I'd definitely watch it because I'm a Reilly fan but this daft production company wanting to start with the third installment better not decide later to make the other two as prequels. Star Wars is a classic example of how bad a decision that can be (well, not bad but not good either). Great trailer by the way JeffEdis
