@mspackfan You seem to forget that he WAS TRADED from the packers. He showed up in Lambeau ready to play FOR THE PACKERS. Hate him all you want.... Just know your facts about his "drama" before you spew it. If by "drama" you mean how he retired and came back, look at all the other LEGENDS that did the same... Reggie White, Joe Montana, Muhammad Ali, George Foreman,Wilt Chamberlain, Junior Seau.....Favre is STILL a legend and hero of the game. If you can't see that, you're blind.
Greatest thing to EVER I MEAN EVER HAPPIN TO SPORTS
BRETT LORENZO FAVRE I LOVE YOU MAN THANK YOU FOR ALL THE MIRACLES AND ALL THE GREAT MOMENTS...THE GAME WILL NEVER BE THE SAME WHEN YOU WALK AWAY..PLEASE DONT GO BRETT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Some people will hate Brett Favre for going to the Vikings other people that are true fans will understand why he went to the Vikings and people wont hate him for it. It really ticked me off when he went to Lambeau Field and most of the Packer fans started to boo him. To all those people that booed him I have no respect for you. Its like all you former Favre fans forgot those 16 years and the Superbowl that Brett won for you. Im a true Favre fan no matter what team he is playing for.
The whole Viking thing is a damn shame. I guarantee you if he would have come back to Lambeau Field as a Jet the fans would have been going crazy for him. But he's a Viking, and that's different. I look forward to the day when he retires for good, and comes back to Lambeau and gets his number retired. He will get the obavation that he and the fans both deserve.
Wow, looking back now on what a drama queen/diva Favre turned out to be, all I can say is GOOD RIDDANCE. I am SO glad the Packers never took him back. He played horribly with the Jets and only went to the Vikings to try and stick it to Thompson and McCarthy. MAJOR FAIL!
@mspackfan I agree. If Favre would have just retired after the 2007 season as a Packer he would have been a legend in the Packers eyes. But he had to go and fuck it all up by retiring 3 times and playing for the Vikings. I think one day he will regret going out like this.
@dqlbmw dude your talking about a man who loves the game. how would you like to be a hero to millions and letting it go. i dont blame him one bit. he had the greatest season with the vikings. idc what people say hes still a hero, still a legend, still one of the best (in my eyes THE best) quarterbacks of all time. i mean seriously, who actually wanted him to retire in 2007? no one did because they loved him. he wants to play, and if that means if he wants to play until he draws aarp then let him
Packers not wanting Brett Favre in the summer months is a decision that the Packers managment will regret for the years to come... im betting anything that the Jets will go to superbowl and if they do BYE BYE TED THOMPSON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Shoulda stayed retired. I believed that from the start of the entire mess he made with his enormous ego.
He could have went out on top by staying retired but believing he was bigger than the Packers franchise, well...the karma bus came and ran him over, literally, that being the Miami Dolphins and Chad Pennington.
I really wanted to express all the aspects of his career with the Packers, not just on the field, but off as well, with his family, his fans, his charitable contributions.
Thanks for watching and for your wonderful comments!
