the xbox360 boots but I can't see anything on my screen. I went to the xbox site and filled in a form with name, email adress and so on for UPS (delivery service) to pick up my xbox elite and return it when fixed.

it's all free off course. after a year my 360 apparently died. It's not a red ring however, it stays green and the xbox reboots for no reason.

ohhhh. that sucks. its the red ring of death, obviously, but you can just wrap it in a towel so it will overheat and then turn it on, and it will work for about twenty minutes. :) when u are sick of doing that, just ship it to the microsoft company and they will fix it and ship it back in a couple weeks.:) Have Fun.

@TaLlGrubZzZ True the PS3 isnt perfect but in my opinion its better than the 360. Its a lot less common for the PS3 to fry than the 360, i had my xbox for 2 months before it got the open tray error and wouldnt read disks anymore. Got a PS3 after that and i've never had a problem with it.

I like it and its games and i play it constantly. it always shows the red "ring of death" when its messed up - it's pretty bad on microsoft's part. in my opinion, the xbox 360 SUCKS. There should be no need for special precautions or steps just to pick up and play a game for some fun. for that you should get a wii. i like my wii better because of ease of use and it doesnt just stop working. that is just my oppinion, so don't flip out.
