2. Potential to be very productive in future - check.
3. Basically calls USA "motherland" - check
But yet, when he was 2, was born in a different country. US should want people like that to stay, never mind kicking them out. But then again, the land of immigrants seems to love to kick out *productive* immigrants these days.
It's very sad that the kids of ILLEGALS who CHOSE to break the law are paying the price, but the parents are the only ones to blame. If we reward them with the DREAM ACT, it'll only encourage more illegal immigration! Way to go ICE! Call your senators today and tell them to vote NO on the DREAM ACT: 1-800-828-0498. Juan, apply for citizenship like everybody else...
@aprillh It's not fair for him he had no choice in the matter. I believe this Dream Act it should be passed. This is not for people to start coming to the U.S. it's for kids that have already been here. They are Americans not being born here but by heart they are Americans.
Let grab them before college! I say we place a bounty on the head of every illegal alien. Say $1000 a head would start a whole new industry. We could even add a bonus for the "Brown Parasites"?
Juan is an American. We all love him. He's amazing beyond words and the most innocent person ever. For those who are closed-minded about this situation, think about someone in your family comitting a crime and YOU having to pay for it, what if this were "the law" - would you be ok with it? Common sence beats "the law". If you have it, you understand Juan is all the great things a person can ever be . . .and he is an American. If you don't have common sence- we can't help you.
Are you trying to say kids whose parents go to prison for Murder aren't affected. Or maybe we should let Murders off because the kids would be affected. Juan knew his parents were breaking the law he was an accomplice.
This is the kind of people that we need in this country, I don't get why there should be a problem.
1) they wouldn't get grants or "freebies"
2) they would have to earn their green card
3) they know the American culture because this is the only country they've ever known.
4) they're not illegal by choice.
Republicans better wake up cause this whole anti-immigration attitude is taking a toll on their hispanic constituents' vote which is already 35% lower than last election's.
And why are so many felons executed in this country and then after they are killed they're found to be innocent by DNA evidence. The law isn't always right. Laws have their faults too.
This country is the country of laws?? The same country that has the highest crime rate of any first world country, the country that has cover ups on several police cases and where Celebrities gets away with crimes a average citizen gets locked up for (O.J. Simpson) this is the country you're talking about? Give me a break, by the way I'm American if you're wondering.
They overstayed their allowed tourist visa. They had a fair hearing. ( another phony asylum case?).The judge DEPORTED them. They appealed , lost and REFUSED to leave the country. These are the facts!
I say let the parents go home, and if these boys really want to stay here, well, enlist and deploy to high-combat areas for at least 36 months. And based on MERIT, the will EARN their US residency.
Anyone who can and want to help do the right thing and join the facebook group: The Dream Act: Help Bring Back Juan Gomez. This is injustice and outrage.

you say apply for citizenship as if it was that easy. it breaks my heart to see this.
i'm sure there will be some sort of stipulation if the dream act passes.
idk maybe you'd have to have lived here for example since a certain year and anyone who came after that wouldnt qualify

Sorry but speaking English and having good grades is not the price of US Citizenship. This is a country of LAWS.
