If they would have really produced it, it would have been about as good as most of the other things Uncle Sam spends to fight wars on tobacco. (There used to be that one where the old lady calls it "Tabaccy," so the mis-spell was just artistic license to me.)
Also, it just isn't easy to convey how it won't become deadly (unless you steer your car into a bridge as you light up,) what happens to a person's body 60 or even 20 years from when they start smoking. Sure, the vid isn't 100% great quality, but the people given millions to make these kind came up with some pretty stupid 15 and 30 second spots, also; so laughable or false or plainly coercive that it made you want to leave the room and go have a smoke.
A smoker for 35 years-plus, I would dare say that it is more true than false, though it seems quite self-pitying to say so. The consequences that doing something that is as addictive as tobacco has on a person's life aside from the obvious medical problems it is almost sure to cause are a withdrawal from engagement with society due to ostracism from others, sure, but also to feed the habit.
