I think many people have the idea that a lake is something a little larger than a fish pond hahah, clearly there are lakes , and there are LAKES. Now exctly the difference between a great lake and a sea, I am not so sure what it is, so I am off to Go Ogle. I need to know Thanks nancy you do it again hahahahaha.55555
A lake is a body of water that is completely enclosed by land.Size varies,of course an example is Lake Erie,in Michigan.A sea is a body of water that is PARTIALLY enclosed by water.(not totally enclosed by land) I.e. the Black Sea,Irish sea, North(whereas a lake is completly enclosed by land.)The difference between an Ocean /Sea,has nothing to do with size/depth merely that Oceans seperate the continents, their waters stretch from one continent to another, their waves reach one or more continents
Excellent homework!! LOL I give you an A+ on knowing your lakes and seas.
This particular one, Lake Erie, is surrounded by U.S.A./Michigan on one side and Canada/Ontario on the other. This was taken from the Canadian side where I live.
Big big hugs for taking such an interest....as you did in the Mystical Leaf as well.
Doesn't it though? I guess that's why they're called The Great Lakes...they are huge! And they can turn mean too. I love to watch the lake when it gets rough Judy..kind of mesmerizing.
Loved this Nancy. I often wonder what treasures might those breakers bring to the shore that have hitherto lain dormant and undiscovered, even if it is just a quick snack for the seagulls!
Wowsah Nance, what spectacular footage!! The surf is eerie (no pun intended ;) yet calming at the same time. I can almost smell the cool salt air and oh how I wish you & I were walking on that beach together laughing & talking. Stay safe & warm, I love you xoxoxoxox
Hi Shel!!! Wish you were around here more often...but then listen to me..I hardly have the time to pop in anymore. Oh you and I would have so much fun together....whether it be on a beach or anywhere!!
Nicely done Nancy. Lake Erie sure can be Eerie at times, but your video is quite calming. Keep up the great work! Hope speller mouse didn't get his feet wet! LOL
this was so lovely nancy....something about you makes me feel so good. for some reason... i just want to come over and sit in your kitchen and have a bowl of soup with u. you make a person feel welcome.
This was beautiful and very uplifting Nancy! The music was wonderful and I loved the sound of the waves with the music! A splendid day at the beach! Well done, I enjoyed this very much! ... FrAnK (★★★★★)
Hello Frank....I know I have catching up to do with watching your videos!! Seems I have not stopped since coming back from vacation mid September..and we're off again for a few days from this Sunday on....I will catch up though!!
Hi Phil...I know I have a lot of catching up on your videos...I do apologize and I will get to them all...been a lot going on here...and we go away again for a bit on Sunday.
I still have more summer vids to put up yet...think I have one with an egret in it...
Beautiful video, Nancy! You have a veritable inland sea going there. I really enjoyed see this and you it was a masterful touch to frame the video with the footage of the birds flying at the beginning and end. It really brought thing full circle. Hugs :-)
Hi Pat...I have my father to thank from way back..oh 40 years ago at least...when the 8mm cameras were the big thing. I listened to him as he explained how to give 'movies' a beginning, middle, and end. "Continuity", he always said. LOL I think he would have enjoyed some of my videos..if he were still with us...maybe he still does...*soft smile*
That was great Nancy. It looks more like the ocean out there than the lake. With the new HQ and HD settings on YouTube, I'm loving these types of videos. -Jim
Hi Jim...yes I just noticed the comment from my sister earlier asking if I had a new cam...but no...I just run it through WMM at different settings and YT takes it from there.
It was September Mic...and not really that cold but quite an undertow...hence the red flag flying it's warning. But I think it would have been still not too bad.
The ocean looks suspiciously like the Pacific Ocean where I live-- in San Francisco. It's wild like that all the time. Is it like that all the time where you live? This is a wonderful video!
Hi Lee Ann...people say it looks like the ocean but it is a lake...Lake Erie...and it can become quite rough or very very calm. It's usually only like this during the fall or when a storm is brewing.
Gorgeous, looks like the ocean...
I liked the suns reflection, beautiful..

She most certainly is and I don't trust her when she gets like this...they fly that red flag for a reason...the undertow is so strong.
