If north Korea would organise the Olympics, their openings ceremony would be something like this and it would be held in this stadium. Can't really imagine that though.
@laffer35 I went on my own, and the were two other guys who had travelled solo in my tour group as well. I shared my room with one of them and we got on really well. Everyone in my group was really fun and friendly as we all had the same fascination with this country. So you should go for it. Life is short and you will regret it if you don't go! :)
It sure is sad to see people who do not know the tasted of true freedom. That being said, I hope they do follow in China's footsteps and open up to the ideas of a free market and greater freedoms for their people. They must envy the success of China at least to some extent.
@bigchep1994 No, the trip was not scary at all. The tour guide was really friendly and fun as were the people who I shared the tour with. There were some serious times that were a bit freaky, like when we had to visit the mausoleum of Kim Il-Sung as the setup was unbelievably surreal. Has to be seen to be believed!

I've wanted to go for years but I have no one to go with and I'd feel uncomfortable going alone, I think... but who knows, maybe I will go someday.
That perfornance is completely mind blowing, I can't imagine how it must feel really being there!
Thanks for posting these videos and giving a glimpse into how visiting the country is like!
