While I commend you for putting your process on display, I just have to say that nice vector renderings do not automatically equal good logo design. The key to successful logos? Simplify, simplify, simplify. If it doesn't look good in black and white (and without gradients), it's not a good design.

I haven't followed this person's videos to know what direction that started with, but the thing is to understand the basis, which equates to the name of the tools and the purpose that they serve. Once you grasp that, you play with the tools to understand how they work. From there you make shapes etc.

ok im stuck in a rut trying to design a logo. got my design draft thats coverd but i have photo shop and the "lol dont laugh now" the logo i desgined in ms paint. yes the basic paint in accesories. its keeps pixelating i cant get the logo to not pixalate even in photoshop. and not just that i have made it smaller but every time i look at print size. i cant see some of my lines. its very basic id say also if you want i can send it. also what should i save this as to send to the printer?

You are totally right, but anyway her tut was really good and taught some concepts about the position of elements and stuff like that. So, I know It's not easy to design (too much work, patience and imagination) but she explained the logo-concept essential part in a very short time.

Thanks for sharing knowledge! I'm graphic designer too (Specially I like to use vector graphic). I'm working on CorelDraw on PC - It's also very good tool.

Your lesson made impression on me, because maybe I like to work with similar style.

I wanna say, that my project starts from IDEA. For me it's very important. I can work on project witchout computer - just idea in my mind or sometimes draft on the paper. Next step is drawing on computer.

So: Thats right: You can get job as designer of advertisements, logos, interfaces of websites and other graphics, but you can also became just... pretty simple worker - just to produce simple text signs and dealing with plotter. It may depends on... how good you can comunicate with the people I think, how much heart and immagination you can put into projects, and maybe luck...

You know what? I learned 2-weeks of Illustrator 10 for 2-weeks and then sort of gave up. I got Photoshop and spent 4-months learing that (as much as I could). I have now watched just half of this tutorial and understand the tut so well it doesn't matter that you go so fast. Amazing really, just makes me laugh why I gave up on Illustrator?! lol - What I have learned is that I need to be using AI for my needs instead of PS. I feel a bit stupid now! Thank you

From my experience I think Corel Draw is slightly better than Illustrator. On the other hand Photoshop surpass Photo Paint

photoshop = raster / illustrator = vector

Vector has more math to it. You can expand an image to be huge, and it will keep its original quality. Vector is for cartoons, raster is more of actual photos.

but can u do a tut on how to create reflections,n gradients,

u know more about how a glass bottle should reflect as oppsed to a plastic one and a metal orb,

and how to acheive realistic results(for glass metal etc)in vector logos..i mean more like guidelines to follow...
