  • "You're making your anus special by not wanting it talked about."

  • This skit IS about Portland. Where men are useless, and where women enjoy castrating them (the men do it too).

  • I'm not from Portland but I've been to the sort of bookstore they're parodying here.

  • "she did a one woman show and she didn't even show up for it. it was a statue of her."

  • HAHAHAHA I'm from Portland. It's HILARIOUS how accurate this is.

  • i'd consider myself feminist, but i think this is so hilarious, ahaha.

  • i could watch this forever, its so great. i loove the voice fred armison uses for his character.and hers too..god..so funny.

  • i live in portland and all the portlandia stuff seems pretty darn normal to me... :3

  • you can't say something is objectively funny, humor requires viewer interpretation. I find this funny, but I don't find the need to condescend to those who don't.

With that said, anyone who doesn't like this is too stupidd too understand this and gay fuck blah...

  • Ahh, hmmm, I don't really get it. Two people going through fliers. Errrrr, where's the funny part? I think I'm missing something :) Seems a bit dry for a comedy sketch.

  • @ArtemisMS....you must be from Portland.

  • @ZacharyTBatson Actually I am from Louisiana :)

  • Wow!! Fred and Carrie have the amazing floating abilities...Awesome!!

  • love it, love portland, someone needed to show the world how strange they/you all are, but I looooovvvveee the city, something about it is just magical to me, too bad about the racism (past and present), pdx in da house!

  • This is making me miss Asheville, NC as well, very similar. This show is making me laugh out loud. Is is so spot on with the sterotypes. Brilliant humor, I LOVE ThiS!!!

  • i live in portland and this show is so funny and true

  • Live in Portland? Check. Over 25? Check. Have attended Portland State University? Check.

    Hilarious? Check.

  • I am not gay or from Portland, or 25, and I found it to be laugh-out-loud hilarious. I think it's too dry for some people who need a more fluid, in your face humor to make you laugh. Go watch Nick Swardson's Pretend Time, guy who probably likes poop jokes.

  • oh, and being gay helps.

  • @mollkatles do you live in portland? are you at least 25? have you gone to college.. PSU or Reed? I think those requirements need to be filled to get why this is funny. Most people will not find it funny if not. And if you don't, go post on a video that you DO think is funny.

  • get over it. it's hilarious.

esp. if you live in portland.

  • @mediocrityrulz13 or Olympia, WA. extremely similiar X]

  • @mollkatles - I didn't actually say I found it funny. I was actually referring to the relative calibre of the performers; Fred Armisen, known across America, and Carrie Brownstein, known across the world. I actually only think this sketch is mildly amusing. It's pretty good satire, and I found it entertaining, but not funny, exactly.

  • she did a one woman show and she didn't even show up for it ... all there was was a status of her...

  • we'll consult the crystal. haaahaha

  • I love these two. Especially on the St. Vincent video.

  • My God. Carrie Brownstein AND Fred Armisen and only three thousand views. There's something really wrong with that.

  • @helpiveimploded - will you kindly explain what is funny about this?

I want so badly to think this could be funny, but I don't see any evidence of that here - it is just a couple of forty-somethings playing dress-up for their own entertainment as far as I can tell. I just wish they would stop posting their dull amateurish work where I am forced to watch

  • @mollkatles You aren't forced to watch. If you don't like it, get the fuck off of this page instead of bashing Thunder Ant.

  • @MassHero - I noticed you didn't defend this by saying it IS funny. Look, the only reason you are even watching this is because you are a family member of, or one of the participants, or like me you have accidentally stumbled onto this mess - just admit to the obvious, this is not funny

  • @mollkatles I am a family member of one of the participants? What are you talking about?

I live in Gresham. I go up to Portland quite a lot, and trust me, I've seen my fair share of shops AND shop owners like this. Even if I didn't live near Portland, I still find this pretty funny. It's very dry- it's not slapstick humor, as I'm sure you're more accustomed to that low brow form of humor. Now get the fuck off of this page.

  • @MassHero my point is only a family member or participant would find this funny, you proved that.

Our difference is not dry vs slapstick, you visit a small town from a smaller town and find humor in this, so. If you lived in a big (read: more sophisticated) city you would be able to see this for what it is, unfunny, idiosyncratic, look at me, small town humor.

Now, run along hick, you needn't bother me with any more of your simple minded hayseed humor

  • @mollkatles So, basically what you're preaching to me is the only way anyone could find this show funny is if they were from Portland? And bigger smarter more sophisticated folk from big cities like you are just so above this "small town humor"? Get off your fucking high horse, all I get from your message is "I'm an arrogant prick and I think I know significantly more about everything than any dumbass from Gresham or Portland". I think this humor isn't unique to or exclusive to Portland.

  • @mollkatles I think the way Portland shaped it's occupants and spit them out all around the town was enough of a goofy premise to give this project wings. You don't need to be from Portland and have experienced such shopkeepers or occurrences to find this skit show humorous, you're just a smug, arrogant, judgmental prick with a massive superiority complex. I guess we'll let the viewers decide when this show airs. Until then, why don't you leave us alone? If you don't like the video, leave.

  • @MassHero - the show will never air, someone with sense will pull the plug.

And don't feel emboldened because you are on the internet, our relationship is stll the same as it is out in the world. People from oregon, with your useless in-state college degrees serve me my meals or clean my home. You don't entertain me, & you certainly don't make me laugh with your "dry humor". FYI dry humor needs to be much smarter than this to work.

so go back to watchin the rain & being a fly-over person

  • @mollkatles Why are you so god damned angry? Did you make it your fucking mission to come here and discriminate like a filthy brute?

Save yourself some time and just leave the page. Stop commenting.

You'll get 5+ minutes of your day back.

  • @MassHero wrong again hayseed, listen I am a little busy in conversations with more interesting people from more interesting places, so run along now like a good bumpkin, see if you can start a conversation with someone from boise or wyoming or something, I am certain you would have much more in common with them, you may even share a small town sense of humor

  • @mollkatles What is it with you that makes you insist Portland is a significantly "smaller" town then where you come from? Why are you so fucking condescending? Do you honestly need to live out your dream of being a douche on the internet because you're too passive aggressive in real life to do so? Don't talk down to me because you have some fucking complex.

And if you're trolling, please just leave. I understand, you got a reaction out of me, good for you. Run along back to 4chan, now.

  • @mollkatles Fuck You Man!

  • @mollkatles Fuck You Man!

  • Did you order it? When's it coming in!?

  • Reminds me of a bookstore that my wife and I went into in San Francisco. Lots of liberal, feminist, and LGBT materials. We found a few things, what made us not ever go back was the Lesbian woman at the counter trying to make a date with my wife. We don't have anything against her personally, but we are happily married and STRAIGHT. But this is a very funny video

  • "Things I'm uncomofortable with: Man putting his hands on his crotch."

    XD

  • man, this is so cool.
