@acidmatar To be honest, I don't remember at all. It wasn't the default, but definitely the default is driftable. I just learned on default until I got better. When you get the hang of it, you can start to mess with settings and see how they "feel"

I've never heard of a drift mod, what is it? The mechanics of the game were not modded in any way, only some visual mods (such at the ground).

This was done with sony vegas, fraps was used to record. A trick for higher quality recording: use slow motion in LFS while recording with FRAPS so you have higher frame rate video. Speed it up in vegas or whatever editor you use and it'll look VERY smooth.

Also, we're probably gonna buy LFS S2 sometime soon and start playing again i think, haha.

We used a variety of techniques: braking, ebrake, feinting, throttle lift off, power oversteer.

Thanks but there won't be a next time. We both are kinda done with LFS. Stay tuned though. In a month or two we'll have a new video drifting in Gran Turismo 4

My car setup is basically hard track setup with a few modificiations: lower ride height, rear tires are HYBRID (more slippery than regular tires + they give smoke if you learn how to use them), and LOCKEd differential (much better than open for drifting).

For controlling i use my keyboard and my lovely blue logitech mx510 mouse =]

What is your car's setup? And how do you initiate the drift so smoothly?

Haha... I only get into a drift if I'm about to spin out and never usually complete it nicely. Did you just brake before the turn and drift with real steady countersteer?

You must have used a steering wheel or something because I can't produce those kind of results on my Rumblepad.
