The thing is the video is about playing high notes. He demonstrated two different ways to play high notes. Standing in a chair, you're playing notes higher than you were before hand.  The second was pushing the tuning slide in all the way. That alone makes your tone go sharp, meaning that your notes are higher.

the tuning slide can t be too much in or out, cuz the pitch alters so much so you 'd have to use your mouth to correct the pitch mistake, which consumes your endurance alot faster. Anywho, to play high, Drgsto posted a video which pretty much says it. You have to buzz your lips without the turmpet and then put the moutpiece on and do the same buzz. The tuning slide should be moved to make the sound softer or sharper.
