@betulakevinii Hi, Kev - It's got to be a piece of burnt wadding or another piece of the rocket, we're thinking. If we come across the original video, we'll try to freeze the frame to spot that UFO!
Awesome! When I was young, I was really big into Estes rocketry (had a competitor, - Centurian? - unsure) Now that my son is of age, I got him a complete package (minus the engines) with a spare rocket for Christmas - will help him launch them when the warm weather kicks in.
@evilunixuser1 Great gift! Our first Estes experience was about 20 years ago - it's great that they're still around - obviously we still love them. Hope you and your son have a blast!
Nice video! The rotation on descent was also relatively high with my big Estes executioner with on board camera. Seems inevitable. The slow motion option might come in handy in such cases.
@Endeavourshuttle Very true - when we throw this camera on an old Estes Phoenix next month, I'm going to put in some slow-mo of whatever footage we capture. Rotation seems to be inevitable with rockets of this scale!
@Dirtboy101 Thanks! And good catch on iMovie. This is actually the first video I've edited using iMovie - we were working on PCs before, but have since graduated to a Mac for some tasks.
@Rapidnadion hahaha, once you go mac, you don't go back! I just switched to a mac myself and Im having trouble getting used to iMovie, especially for the animations I do.
@Dirtboy101 Yeah; it definitely "handles" much differently than Windows Movie Maker, which isn't a bad thing at all, but I guess I expected it to be a bit more intuitive. At any rate, it got the job done for this movie - and having a Macbook in the field is very helpful at quickly reviewing footage after flights, cruises, and sinkings!

Whats the object that flashes by at around 44"? Is a model glider or a peice of the rocket? Regards Kev

@betulakevinii I think that's a bird. Hard to tell but the shape is correct.
