I'm looking to start making puzzles, what would you suggest i make as my first one, something simple so i can get a feel for, about how much would makeing lets say a custom megaminx or something cost? (master peices and all) and one last question, how do i go aout making the center mechinism for a puzzle? any help is GREALY appreatied

a 3x3x5 (extended) or a fisher cube is great for a beginner. A cuboctahedron or a half-truncated cube is also easy.

i use my hands and a simple craft knife to flatten it

yeah..dip your hands in water first so it doesnt stick as much. you can also use your hands to smoothen/shape it but i use a craft knife for that.

is it made from a 4x4x4

its called a master cuboctahedron. its made by truncating all the corners and edges on the 4x4 to make it 14 sided. it is then spraypainted red or black or white depending on your preference. i painted it red so it would be unique

what accesory for the dremel do you use, and when you shave it down, do you do it piece by piece or just shave it all off at once.

i use a round sander aabout 1 cm diameter. i do it piece by piece and put it together and flatten it with a vibrating sander

yea im acually working on a 3x3 cuboctahedron at the moment other 3x3 mods im working on are half-truncated cube and trajber's octahedron ill make utuorials for all of those soon
