  • I don't see how it stops, starts,or what the bottom gear (opposite of the spring gear) does.

  • @hifatpeople There are two pins in the main gear, one on a spoke that is meshed into the reset mechanism and one that is on the outer circle that hits the lever. . The entire system is kept under tension by the wound spring. When the lever is moved, the tension is released and the force travels from the spring gear to the main gear and sets the entire thing in motion.

  • I'm gonna take Material Processing 2 again just so i can build this.

  • Do you wish to swap the olympia for the raygun?

  • AMAZING

  • Use mystery box:cost 950 points

  • ace bravado

  • I can't notice the stopping mechanism at the end of the cycle !

could anyone tell me what stops the gears ?

  • @mos3ad2006

There is a pin on the center wheel.

  • no reference to claude shannon?

    nice nonetheless.

  • They need to dress that finger up like a 'cRaZy' werewolf finger.

That would REALLY freak people out ! lol !

  • I was trying to figure out how it worked, then I noticed the clock spring. Really ingenious!

  • reminds me of the other machine that does the same thing nice!

  • You are a genius! All of your designs are absolutely amazing, but this is by far the wackiest thing I've seen. I need to make a set of these for the family... I love that it is purely a demonstration of mechanics, I'm tempted to find a music box movement with a suitably eerie theme that one could start and stop with the same mechanism by introducing a stop pin into the governer of the music box movement....

  • If i saw this in say, ancient times, i would be scared out of my freakin mind! (before showing me the inside).

But even though we are in present times, I am still blown out of my freakin mind.

  • Great. I imagine the machine is simply saying..."ow...quit it".

  • Simply Epic.

  • Very nice! Sometimes the least useful mechanical devices are the most fun to watch. Great video production too.

  • Great music, Pretty wacky thingy ma do dab. Still keeps you looking though.

  • I like that a lot. Not everything has to be useful, some things just make you happy

  • somewhat interesting but as it's been several months since your last design I thought you might have been working on a more complex project like a antikythera mechanism or Di Dondi's astrarium or even a musical organ clock

  • The creator of this materpiece must have a truely twisted mind to come up with something so useless, but yet so disturbingly fascinating, and beautiful to look at.

  • nice
