  • Nice pack, I just ordered one as my BOB.

  • GREAT REVIEW MAN THANKS FOR SHARING REALLY HELPED ME DECIDE TO GET THIS BIT OF KIT THANKS AGAIN

  • Lol, if it was the apocalypse, would you choose this pack to use?

  • @naru150 No.

  • i really don't think a video could get more racist than this. this is ridiculous.

  • @LTCimbulletproof You're kidding right?

  • @ammosmith lol of course i'm kidding, there's nothing racist about this video. would you recommend this for a bugout bag?

  • @LTCimbulletproof A bit smal. I like something a little bigger. I use this as a day pack or when out in the field I use it for lunch, first aid and water. Not a bad bag.

  • wheres the water and/or water bottle. your gonna need something to carry that filtered wtaer in. its always better to have some than none with a chance to clean it. you might not find any.

  • @kaizerij Thanks! I like the size of the pack...it's just right.

  • let me start by saying this is a great video deff better than 90% of reviews out there. but i did notice you have 8 freeze dried meals and a water filter, but no water container (i.e. canteen/bladder) and no stove or cooking device. im sure you could make a fire but if your going for a tactical adv. why not use a small propane jet stove. i would have also liked to see at least one pouch added using the MOLLE straps just to show how it handles the weight and showing size.

  • @BMW3ICS My survival kit is always a work in progress. This pack was filled for the camping trip . I am also using another pack at the moment but I do really like this pack. I have the water bladder and everything for it now..

  • These are great bags used them in Iraq, Held up great.

  • @DICHEADTACTICAL How much of a beating did you put it through? I want to get one as a bushcrafting/day hike pack. Thanks

  • @Grizzly907LA 3 tours overseas in the sandbox still have it. Beat up as hell but it's all together

  • @DICHEADTACTICAL Sweet. I want something that isnt going to fall apart on me, because I tend to beat the hell out of my bad.

  • hey man whats the name of the boots you wear ing

  • @godfather40p They are Israeli Galil boots. I got them for $20. I wore them out...and I want another pair...BAD!

  • hey is there a knife holder on the outside of the pack?

  • @2BeatMaster2 There MOLLE straps are great for attaching knives or other gear.

  • @ammosmith thanks man

  • Hey, nice review! I'm buying such a bag on Amazon, and I thinks it's a great bag. But I have 1 question: is it the 30 or the 50 liter bag? Hope you answer my question!

    Grtz, mandgsurvival

  • @mandgsurvival It's a 100 ounce bladder from HydraStorm.

  • Comment removed

  • Thanks, but is that pack realy only 3 liters/100 ouces? It looks like it's lots more... I tought the bag was a 1000 or 1600 ounce bag.

    Grtz, mandgsurvival

  • Can you do a part 2 of your level iii pack? Hows it holding up?

  • @afd09u4vmn It's holding up really good. I'll be taking it on a camping trip at the end of this month. I'll do a video on it or incorporate it into a tactical shoot video.

  • @Skedooch12 I agree. It was a camping trip so space wasn't critical. If I did take them out of the packages I'd use electrical tape to insulate the terminals.

  • what is a man without fresh socks? haha

  • i got a brand new one for £20

  • does it have Hydration Capacity?

  • @clousehu Tes. But it could have been better designed for that though.

  • @ammosmith how do u think it could be better? just wondering im considering this pack

  • @falconsfan720 A dedicated pocket for the water bladder, MOLLE points on the pack so you can integrate it onto a vest system. Detachable shoulder straps. And a way to build a vest system out of it so that you can have a total modular system the end user can build a system to suit their mission and needs. Just a thought. Voodoo is always upgrading their stuff.

  • And it's awesome, the end. lol :P

  • is that the deployment bag next to it if so can u do a quick review thanks im totally gonna subscribe

  • i wanted to attach a sleeping bag sack... do u think i can?

  • have some gear with your food ha ha nice vid

  • Nice pack... I would take the spare filter for the MSR out and put it in a bag of some sort, to conserve room. I'm looking to buy this one actually.. $70.00.. I wish they made these packs and other gear in desert digital.. Too much ACU out there for me.

Semper Fi. Are you AD Marine Corps?

  • Nice pack... I would take the spare filter for the MSR out and put it in a bag of some sort, to conserve room. I'm looking to buy this one actually.. $70.00..

  • So that black bag laying there can you attach it to this pack?

  • @DjUndying1 Yes...you and add a pouch to this thing very easily.

  • ok so im really confused, if anyone can help me...i really want to get this bag, but i have been told to beware of airsoft knockoffs... i have seen this pack made by vodoo tactical, condor, and i have even heard that maxpedition makes them...i also noticed that sometimes i have seen these bags with four strips of molle webbing on the lower back pouch and black plastic pieces..and i have seen these bags with 2 strips of molle webbing on the lower back pouch with bag color matching plastic pieces

  • Damn what about extra clothes!, judging by ur amount of chow, ull be there for a while

  • @spartanthree8 I have a A.L.I.C.E. mountain pack for all my other gear.

  • @ammosmith ahhhhh ok, kool, im thinking about buying one of these as my primary three day back pack, could it fit all my gear and clothes

  • @spartanthree8 It's more of a day pack really.

  • @ammosmith hmmmmm ok, do u recomend any other packs, within reasonable price?

  • @spartanthree8 VooDoo makes tht Tobago pack that has a lot of room in it. I haven't used one...I prefer a pack with a frame.

  • I have a request if you don't mind ammosmith. What is the longest possible item you could put in the main compartment? I realize it says 18 inches on their site but lets say you have something that is just over 19 inches, would it be possible for you to take a tape measure to your pack and see if it would fit/close with something 19.25 inches inside of it? I need a backpack for my PS90 SBR and this looks like it's right on the border.

  • @TerryGecko try this . its 22 inches tall

  • @TerryGecko go to army surplus world <dot com and look at their packs. theres a level 3 assault pack with 22 inch high main compartment. good luck

  • I'd take MRE's over mountain house any day....

  • @jerryboy219 Me too but I had to try them out. MRE's were sold out at the time.

  • i have just ordered it very nice :b

  • Wait never mind... found one. Does this pack have a plethora of pockets and compartments?

  • @FacelessHunter93 Not really there are 2 main compartments and a few pockets

  • @ammosmith Thanks you for the info, and quick replies.

  • @FacelessHunter93 Anytime my friend.

  • Where can I get a black one? Voodoo Tac only has olive drab...

  • @FacelessHunter93 Dunno. They do a certain production run then when they are out they reorder them from the manufacturer.

  • @FacelessHunter93 you can get it on a danish webside

  • @FacelessHunter93 i don't know if it's to late or if anyone has told you but you can get a black one off of Cheaper Than Dirt.

  • sorry dude but who sold you that water filter? Iodine works great (as long as you don't have tyroid issues) Boiling is the only 100 percent effective way to kill critters and straining w/ a bandana will get rid of all the funky floaters. Otherwise a great review.

  • I noticed you have a deployment bag next to you. Is that the normal one or the extra large deployment bag? also did you do a review on that one as well? Good review on the assault III though.

  • @Thebizzle21 The drag bag? It's the standard size. It will comfortable hold a Barrett M99 no sweat.

  • I have the same bag, great bag, its a tiny bag but hold a whole hell of alot, the only thing it it kind of arrows out, when you have alot of gear in it, so it looks like there's a big triangle on yourback. my review of the pack 3/5 not too useful (for me/ being a medic) but if i wasnt using it for medical use then 4/5 great bag love it.

  • Please don't litter. Carry in, carry out.

  • Now what pack is this one? Did you say its a voodoo pack? I like the pack looks great and would have enough room to make a 72 hour pack. Great video.

  • i used this bag in my air-soft war and went a lot through were and tears and sniping players when i was in the mud and trees and still the bag is functional and ready any day!!!

  • 150# ?! you must be the evil clone of MilSpecMonkey! LOL

  • @swansongusa Yes but taller XD

  • lol I know what you mean about the trouble finding modern pouches for the older ammo. Ive been trying to find some ammo pouches that will work with the surplus military LBV`s that would hold stripper clips of 7.62x54R rounds. Only thing I found is reproduction russian ammo pouches. But I do like the look of the pack though and like what can be put in it.

  • What's with all the batteries? I must have missed something.

  • in my opinion i would never go into the bush for an unknown amount of time with an electronic sight. analogue is the way to be in my opinion of course

  • I have a sleeper carrier system which is molle too, I believe it is meant for the Molle I and II packs does anyone know if it will fit this pack. And would you recommend this for a light 3 day hike trip. Thanks if anyone can let me know.

  • @0JeSuS0134 The Mountain House is a dehydrated camping/survival food from Emergency Essentials and is sold at Wal Mart.

  • It looks like my Maxpedition Falcon II

  • 3 letters MRE

  • does it really matter what brand? or is it just the backpack it self i just ordered one from a different site.

  • i think its great gear for the money not everybody has 400 dollars to drop on just a bag.

  • I agree 100%.

  • @ammosmith totally i have the dump pouch and its awesome holds all my ar 15 mags real well gor tex lined and has all the features and pockets that the maxpedition m 4 waist pouch has but at half the cost, plus its not like your going in the woods to live indefinately maybe a few years at the most after that your whole way you do things would be changed so if your gear failed on you it wouldn't really matter anyways but i doubt that anything from voodo would fail at all.

  • I like Maxpedition and Voodoo both. Some of the stuff Voodoo makes gets upgraded by customer feed back and so does Maxpedition. I am not a huge fan of Blackhawk but in the end it's personal preference. Like Glock vs Beretta.

  • @ammosmith totally i like to mix and match my gear as well i love maxpedition for the ergonomics of their stuff, but if i want a water bottle holder i would go for the condor over the maxpedition because my bottle holder dosent need to be dynamic but my main pack does, as far as black hawk their 3 day bag that looks like a jan sport day bag is outragous both in price and them thinking they can out do companies like max. and voodo just because their packs say blackhawk on them.

  • @secretsquirrell13 its 75 dollars

  • It's good for those on a budget. I prefer Maxpedition myself.

  • i just recently bought one of these thanks to your videos!

I do safari's, hikes and climb a mountain every now and then... so this will be very useful.

    Much appreciated!

  • Where did you get the rain gear?

  • At a surplus store...it was really inexpensive...it's British Gore Tex.

  • thats a cool pack, what size is it?

  • Where does the water bladder or hydration system go?

  • Thanks! I'm glad you liked the review...and Happy Birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Awesome video man, I am surely going to get this pack now. What state is this? Is it your land?

  • Nevada....

  • very nice. so is this like public land where you can just go do whatever?

  • Friends ranch

  • thats cool.

  • Excuse me. You said that the Mountain House dried food is 2 servings. What would you recommend serving wise?Do they come in any other serving sizes? Are they good?

  • No these are the ones I get at Wal-Mart in the camping section. They are quite good actually. Better than I expected. The main meals are listed as 2 servings on the back. I may need to do a review on these meals. There are available too 3600 calorie nutrition bars...they are tasty but very heavy on the stomach. I have been focused on ammunition but I think I will do some on bug out gear and gunsmithing too.

  • Do they offer any other serving sizes than 2 servings? You said they fill you up bad, so I'd rather have a 1 serving, do they make those? How about 4 servings? What would you recommend serving wise?

  • Theres a bar that has 3600 calories! Damn! The max I thought was the Big 100 Colossal Bars (you can google it, contains around 400 calories). Whata mean its heavy on the stomach too?

  • They're life boat rations. Very compact and total nutrition. As far as heavy...you feel like you ate a brick.

  • lol

  • @TrollKing2009

Desert Deuce is not a Scam company, never has been. Desert Deuce has always provided excelent service and product to us. Your user name says it all; Troll. You probably work for the competition and are trying to hurt them.

  • I doubted the quality because I never heard of the brand before but you've eased my nerves.

  • I think we're going to fill it with rocks and drag it behind the Hummer

  • This looks quite small to me, do they sell in a larger size?

  • It is small. Not a pack for long excursions. They make other packs but not larger in this configuration.

  • With all that food you forgot 1 important item.......toilet paper!! twigs don't work so well!

According to Voodoo that pack is hydration bladder compatible. What do you do? Stuff a bladder in one of the pockets? If thats the case, any pack is hydration compatible.

  • I not only had toilet paper but a 5 gallon bucket with a toilet seat on it. The pack is "hydration compatable" but you're right...any pack is. This one doesn't have a dedicate campartment. The Maxpedition ones does though.

  • The 'ol bucket trick eh? lol Thanks for the reply and all the great videos! I've been looking for a good day pack and this seemed to fill the bill. Without the dedicated pocket I'm not so sure. Looks like a great little pack tho. Can't beat it at the price!

  • After looking at a couple other venders websites, I gave Voodoo a call. Apparently there is another velcro pocket on the back and a pull tab, near the 2 small D rings, that opens up where you could put a bladder. I imagine that you can run a para cord though the D rings and the bladder to keep it from collapsing on itself. So, I bought it and a 3 liter bladder for over half the price of the other vender! Thanks for reviewing this product.!

  • no theres a seperate pocket on the back for a hydration resovior

  • what color do you suggest?

  • I like the Coyote Tan...it works in most environments and it's more of an O.D. green.

  • yeah i ended up ordering Coyote Tan, my friend has this same backpack in OD, and it is VERY nice.

  • nice pack. are you off to a picnic. all u have is food and batterys. LOL

  • Well I wish they had a back mounted beer cooler.

  • LOL you are a funny man. great humor

  • Have you ever considered breaking your meals down to get more space?

  • The Mountain House chows are a meal and once the bag is opened there is no other bags. MREs are a different story.

  • You can put the contents into zip lock bags and bring a cozy(anything to insulate). You could probably use about a third to a half the space doing it that way.

  • WOW I'm impressed, I'm going to order one of these and save a lot of money over the maxpedition bag I was thinking of!

  • i like the garand clip deal. I was looking at a small molly dump bag to put on my LC-2 gear. in theory it looks good i'll have to try it though.

  • do u have the hydration pack

  • I'm curious, how well do the shoulder straps sit on your frame? I'm debating between this bag and their Tobago and Reaper bags, and my main concerns are the shoulder straps and the amount of space each bag can hold. Thanks for the review, it's really helpful!

  • Pretty well. I just had to make sure the items in the bag were fairly flat as to not make a bulge into my back. It has no frame at it were. I was pushing it as far as I could on this trip. Next trip it'll be loaded down with ammo.

I too am highly interested in the Tobago pack.

  • pleez recommend a field pack for me. like a good 3 day pack. not too big, im female and not a big girl. must counterbalance boobage. hehehe.
