  • interesting

  • interesting stuff... kinda hope with my college degree and P.E. that I can do stuff like this :D

  • With the marcellus shale drilling, how far apart do each of the horizontal legs have to be?

  • ce type des video tres bon a faire

  • same question here...Why do the drill holes go down in curved lines? :)

  • Sometimes one can't drill right vertically above the target due to obstacles at surface. Other reason is to use the facilities of the same plataform (usually marine environment)to drill in different directions. The type of target reservoir and special structures like those foung on the flank of salt domes are other reasons for drilling curved wells

  • Thanks. It sure seems like it would increase the chance of breaking drill bits. I can see why so many countries are depending on western technology to extract their oil, even though they refuse it.

  • @mayartay it doesn't really take a special bit, effective horizonatal drilling requires the ability to spin the drill bit without turning the entire drill pipe. that's where modern computer controlled mudmotors come into play.

  • @MarcoSchinelli that's really not the main objective of directionally drilling, it is used for 2 purposes. the first is to that wells can be drilled from a single well pad location into multiple pools that are offset from the pad. the other of course is to follow the structure of the formation so that you can maximize the amount of production liner you have in that zone. We can drill at angles greater than 90 degrees with modern technology.

  • Would you have one on drilling for copper in Nevada in Dolly Varden. Thank you!

  • No. Much I have is about seismic used to petroleum exploration or drilling activities. Dou you have that video ?

  • Good day! Nope... My life is too busy right now to even contemplate posting videos on youtube. I will keep an eye on yours though. And advertise them to friends if you do not mind! ;)

  • @edmour who the hell drills in this method for copper? you could only extract at most an 16" core each well you drilled.
