Despite that its just one other meerkat and may be an insignificant setting...I loved thins show and it was a LARGE part of m childhood. I rememerb every Friday night coming home at 7 pm and watching this show in amazement to escape the relities of 4th grade. Thhis episode really left an emotional imrpint on my and her death was actually pretty significatn in my childhood. Flower was so brave when she saved her pups,she died. But she saved her pups. And now Flowers pup, Ella leads whiskers. Before Ella it was RocketDog. But saddly she died too.
They should have stopped her from ging in where the snake was. I do understand nature but dam they filmed her for four years and they could have done something just this one time. I think they made a very big mistake for not stopping flower from going in that dam hole. that was wrong and I did not like it at all. They can all kiss my sweet white American ass for not stopping her. You are a sweet lady and mother Flower. May you rest in peace Flower.
@SuperFluffywaffles Actually they're forbidden to save them. They are just there to watch their lives, not to protect them. They're doing researching, and go with the flow. If someones has to die, they have to let them die, because it's just nature.

"The next landmark date will be February 12th, 2011, when Zaphod turns 4448 days old. 4448 days was the age of Mabili, long-term dominant female of the Drie Doring, on the day she disappeared. So this will be the day Zaphod officially becomes the oldest meerkat (male or female) ever observed in the project." (the part in quotes is from the Friends of the Kalahari Meerkat Project website). He made that but then he passed on March 4th.

What I love about this show is that you actually perceive the meerkats as if they were humans, with all the ups and downs and drama. I gotta say thinking about Flower dying after all she did for her family makes me wanna cry :,(

But Flower was more than just a meerkat, she was a rose which always sprouted, always gave hope to other meerkats. I love her. She lived a life of protecting and being her. And thats why I love Flower, because she protected everyone but herself! Saving those pups for certain death! rip flower!
