  • Oh and by the way kai means chicken! LOL

  • Now I'm hungry, I love Thai food! ... I know people that say they don't like Thai food, I think they're crazy! Curry in coconut milk is so good!

  • hey wat if u don't have a catfish can u just put in chicken that is ok too or u will need only a catfish can u answer me pleas?

  • @LYgirl651 it should be ok same taste just different meat. cuz this title is "Thai red curry fish" if u put chicken then it will call "Thai red curry chicken" but i prefer frog legs. =] MUMMMY! LOL..

  • Squid fish sauce: is it squid, or is it fish?

  • @Antiks72 It's fish sauce. 'Squid' is just the name of the brand - pretty famous in Thailand.

  • Hello Itkman: I am from India and you remind me so much of my friend oat. He made excellent fish curry and soup too. This recipe is awesome. Thanks for sharing it. And your english is very good. You don't have to apologize to anyone because most of these people cannot speak any language other than english. They must be thankful that they are learning excellent recipes from you. I will definitely try this and let you know how it turned out. Thanks so much again :)

  • hey Thanks Itkman, u r great! u made 248 videos for free? wat is the benefit to u for doing this, spending so much of ur time n efforts?? I always wonder wat is the benefit to all these ppl who do such things on utube, any answers please?

  • i dont have no eggplant or bamboo shoots in my kitchen so i guess i wont be making this tonight huh!!

  • Wow so good

  • I think little button mushrooms would be nice adding to this dish. How about either minced garlic, ginger,or both? I guess the type of fish is optional? Talopia, white fish, haddock ?

  • What type of fish could I substitute the catfish with?

  • ps, i am going to get some thai eggplant seeds and see if i can grow them at home, those eggplants and nice and small, so it could be very productive to grow them instead of waiting for the big purple ones to be ready.

  • i am sooooo happy to find this video! i got hooked on a local restuarant that makes it but of course its rather expensive and hard to get. the local place fries the fish peices instead of cooking inthe sauce, not as healthy, but its a joy divine. i dont have a car right now, but i will be able to get to a asian market. boy am i thrilled i will be able to cook it at home! thanks so much for this recipie ltkman!

  • Wonderfull dish. Even got the kids to eat it. They hate fish.

  • i just wanted to say that I made this tonight for dinner (but using chicken instead of fish) and my husband loved it! It's almost as good as my father-in-law's who is an authentic Cambodian cook. thanks! look forward to more!

  • why u never show u face? 0_0'

  • comment|| gosh i gotta try this;

i love thai food, so most of everthing

i cook has fish sause or red curry

disk with chicken, i have to try it with

cat fish. you are the best kai.

  • HEY U COOKING IS FUCKING GOOD!!

  • thanks for great video:)

  • Very tasty! I'm going to attempt a Red Chicken curry but I wanted to know is it ok to cook a dish using coconut milk in a slow cooker? So that it's ready when I get home from work.

  • thanks again kai. i was tryin to make curry but i couldnt find a recepe until i realize kai had one so i used this!! THANKS!!

  • i think that should be ur catch phrase " you can find this one at ur asian market! lol good videos

  • Hahha yeah..I agree. Other non Asians are probably wondering...what Asian market? We have none??!?! ???

    lol...

  • whoo new intro

  • love the effects. what program did u use?

yummy food. gonna make it when i go shopping!

  • Fish cooks very fast I've cooked fish in ten minutes in a steamer.

  • dude he can cook better then u so shut up

  • How can't he be a cook when he actually works at a restaurant.....so yeeeah :-|.

  • @tomahawk3 youtube-they sold their souls for music

  • does it have to be catfish only? or can i use any other fish? just asking because i dunno anything about fish. well i don't eat fish but i was planning on cooking this for my hubby and he loves bluegills and crappie.

  • he is a good cook

    cooks better then my mom

  • that looks like it would be good with mussels

  • that wok does not look seasoned .

and where is my local asian market!?

  • it's next to the local asian furniture store.

  • Why don't you go look for it. Or go to the goddamn Safeway and go into the Asian aisle.

  • Thanks for the video.

TIP.I find that if you tear the lime leaves they give out more flavour.

  • And to Kai. Yummeh not a real fish eater but I wil deffo try this one.

Btw. are you gonna make a cookbook we can all buy and enjoy your lovely recepies every day :)

  • I don't understand one thing: why adding the vegetables when the fish is already cooked?

Anyway, this is a great recipe, I'm looking forward to try it!! I love Thai curries!

    Your editing is great!

  • Because if you do it the other way arround you would overcook the veggies and they become limp. now they stay fresh and crisp. that is the only reason I can think of why Kai would do this.

  • Ok, thanks :-)

  • looks good :)

  • i still like the old intro but thanks for the vid great meal

  • :O-

  • my mom made this for me and it was so delicious!! i am definitely going to try this recipe on my own!

  • hi kai..i think for curry, actually u can use spices to make up for curry, curry doesn't need coconut milk to taste nice..as coconut mlik has quite much fats on it..

  • Thai curry always uses coconut milk! Indian curry doesn't I prefer Thai curry to be honest.

  • I heard that in South India they do; they use coconut milk in curries (especially in Sri Lanka) :-)

  • excellent!

  • Love ur new intro!!!!

  • wow!! great video!!!

  • Thanks kai

    Very cool recepie.

Like the new way you start the video
