Can somebody please help me? I made a basement underground but now it won't let me place stone walls for some reason. I tried everywhere and the walls just won't place.

Use a hammer to remove the background dirt, you have to start at the top of the dirt

@SkyFeline It does do damage, but it's generally recommended you use a sword since it's generally faster and does more damage.

I don't see how the vacation is bad. Everyone needs time off, even if it's a TON of time off. Either way some updates may not be significant to some but to others they are. Either way I still like Terraria, it's not like I'm saying it's bad because I'd be lying. Glad you acknowledged my comment though, it's nice to talk like this sometimes.

Notch isn't doing common updates because it's out of alpha. When it gets into beta stages, usually you want updates to be not as extensive because a beta is fairly complete in it's own right. Not to mention he has his own office full of people working now. I don't see how he's lazy by not updating every damn friday, just me though.

He's currently working on a sky dimension not unlike the nether, I don't know how that's not considered extensive. Your logic would make sense but with things like that and each update he introduces breaking the game half the time anyway, that can't really be used as a reason.

Anyway he's lazy because the updates pretty much grinded to a halt when he got rich, having an entire team hasn't helped and he spent most of the first 4th this year on vacation trip after vacation trip, there's a chart

Demon Altars are a tad buggy at the moment, you can make a few items, but most that should be made at the altar, will be made at your forge/smelter/crafting table instead. Exceptions are still the summon items for the bosses. But heh, nice to see you do a lp of this awesome game.
