The ultra is crap offensively, no matter what you do you can't combo or hadouken into landing it on a human player. Although it's the best defensively when the opponent makes a mistake. The shoryuken cancel helps for grabs and fadcs though.
I think your tip about FDCing a blocked goshoryuken into a combo/ throw mix up is a good tip for people new to the game though. That's always a good thing to practice if you have time and something i myself just started practicing since i saw your video, so i can't say i didn't get anything from it! Keep the vids coming! :)
ya ok. that is a good move and has worked for me.. but there is away around it, when your the blocker , and the other player is doin mad combos or what ever, the ex dash to grab. just hold block an keep taping small punch.. if the other player screws up the combo and you hit him with the down jab, you can easly go into a combo
@PJR1005 It's always better to do a blockstring, unless you weren't expecting him to block. This way, you waste meter, and your opponent can see the throw coming and throw escape.
The Air fireball to Ultra combo set up doesn't work at all, ever... Would be nice if it did though!! I don't know how many times I've tried this online. even if the person blocks both fireballs and you touch him with your Ultra before he leaves block stun, it just pushes him a little and when he does leave BS he is able to safely jump away. Would work on someone who is new to the game and thinks you can block the Ultra along with the fireballs though.
thats not necessarily true. I've found many combos and ways out of deadly situations (like the ex shoryuken with ryu/ken to escape Seth's Trollnado if u cant afford the chip damage, not sure about Gouki). You just need to practice an dmake your own style of combos and transitions
people rely too much on youtube vids and combos from Strat guides and veteran players.
No it still wont work, they can block both fire balls and still jump away from the ultra. and say you throw the two fireballs, if you do the demon before the second fireball hits they can jump away from your ultra and into the fireball, its just not a good strategy to pull off the ultra.

That fireball ultra thing doesn't work. It should work with the super tho. I think u can tick throw and cancel certain normals into his super

@wolfepunx
nope do what i do. You need to use good judgement of the match/ player tactics
but i will just dash towards them and hit them with the Super at point Blank range
it NEVERS misses
