The deficit did rise steadily during Reagan's first term, but it was because for him to get the defense spending he wanted he had to give the Dems more entitlement spending so they could stay in power. This tax cut for the rich is pure bs. The math is this you add 3 trillion in deficit via tax cut for the wealthy. The jobs if and that is a big if created will only bring in one dollar and twenty five cents in revenue to the state. Reagan the big tax cutter for the wealthy tripled the deficit, Bush Jr the big tax cutter for the wealthy doubled the deficit and created the largest job loss since the 1929 depression. Bohener said, "facts we don't need stinking facts". Cantor is full of it.
