I listen to this song 2 to 3 times a day, because it gives me strength for when my husband leaves in January for 15 months to Afghanistan. Its my first deployment with him. This is my hubby's second deployment, it's not easy but it does get better. I have a great support system and family has been terrific! Counting down the days till he is home.
My boyfriend is in the service. He is being deployed December of 2011 to afghanistan. Were expecting to get married next summer before he leaves. It's hard as it is because his base is in Alaska, while im in Michigan finishing school. I'm proud of him for what he does for this country. I couldnt ask for a better man.

Well sometimes thats the only choice for your family me husband lost his job with this economy the way it is. We have two kids an the only way for us was the military. We do it cause we know its a better life no matter how hard it is.

There is only one thing i dont understand. If people constantly say how hard it is to be a soldiers wife, why would you marry a soldier in the first place? if you REALLY loved them, you wouldnt let them become a soldier in the first place, where they can be killed and leave your family behind.
When you "REALLY" love someone you stand beside them in their decisions!!! It's because of this unselfish act that our soldiers are able to go out and keep you safe. Instead of questioning our love, why not thank a soldier, police officer, fireman or any other person willing to put themselves out there on the line for you!!!
i do take it for granted. you know why? because we arent fighting a legitimate war. i have lost over 52 of my closest friends to this fucking war. we dont need to be there for any reason at all. if you oppose to this comment, then go do some research.

Personally... I married my Soldier because I could not imagine my life without him. I know there may come a day that I have to imagine it... but the time I get to spend with him is worth all of the pain and anguish I go through when he is gone. You never understand until you are in our shoes. I REALLY love my husband... and I am proud of the service he is doing for my country. You just can't understand until you are put in this situation. It's a stronger love than you can imagine.

well with that said whether people are military or not ANYONE can get killed at anytime. Life is NOT guaranteed for anyone. Being in the military whether active or spouse is hard no matter what but I cant speak for anyone else but i PROUDLY stand by my husband.

To love a soldier is the greatest honor I could ever ask for! My husband has been deployed 3 times, 15 months each. As soon as he gets back I'm joining the Marines, and I am STILL more proud to be an army wife! Putting themselves in harms way every day, to pack up and leave everything you've ever known, to serve the country, to do the duty they know in their hearts they have to do! To love a soldier takes a strong ass woman, and there is no greater than the military wife!

I got married less than a month ago in Korea. I had to move back to the states, and he'll be in Korea for another year. I miss my husband Deeply, but I knew what I was getting into when I married him. This song is such an inspiration to me to not loose faith. Thank you. This is my favorite song by FAR ! I found it a few days ago and listened to it over a hundred times. I REALLY LOVE IT. I'm sharing it on facebook so it will be seen a little more. This is a beautiful song, I went through my first deployment when he left to Iraq and #2 is coming but this time to Afgan and it doesnt get any easier. Its still hurts and you still worry and you still have to explain to you child about why daddy cant come home.

Thank you Katy for putting my thoughts into words-yes even though that's how you felt also. But i'm sure as you know that this song portrays all military wives! I'm going through my first (his 5th) with our 3 kids (2 older ones aren't his but you couldnt tell him that) & our youngest is turning a year old Dec. 29. He's missed everything & it just seems to be gettin harder each day. And it just feels like I have no one. Thank you to all the soldiers & their families!!!!!!!!!!!

I love my soldier with all of my heart, he is my better half and the greatest joy in my life, I don't know if I would be capable of living without him but I do know that he means the world to me and I will wait as long as I have to until he is back in my arms, whether in this life or the next. There are days when I resent the Army for taking him away from me, but I know that is his job like any other job, so I remind myself, I don't have to love his job, I just have to love my soldier.

My boyfriend is in the service. He is being deployed December of 2011 to afghanistan. Were expecting to get married next summer before he leaves. It's hard as it is because his base is in Alaska, while im in Michigan finishing school. I'm proud of him for what he does for this country. I couldnt ask for a better man.

This is such a beautiful song. It made me cry watching it. My husband will be deploying January of 2011. He will be going to Afaghanastan. He is gone right now for training. I miss him so much. I can't imagine my life without him. But, I know that I can handle it, because that is what the Lord made me for. I was put here to be his wife so I know that the Lord will help me through. im getting married next year to my soldier... hes what gets me through the day... i pray that he will get to come home soon and that he's safe... i dont know how many tears i cry every night because i cant be in his arms...thats where i call home all the army wifes i know take care of me like im there daughter im the youngest in my camp im only 18 and i get stronger and stronger.. letting him go was hard but i know he's coming home to me:)

my first deployment w/ my husband was the hardest thing I have ever done 15months of crying myself to sleep and trying to hold it together every phone call I got when really, I just wanted to cry to him on the phone and beg him to come home. they Love a soldier's wife has for her soldier is like no other - I pray everyday that his tour coming up is a little bit easier than the last, I Love all you soldiers and wives - we definitely know each others pain... come home safely troops!!!

I am not quit yet a soldiers wife but will be soon. Thank you for this song. It explains it all so perfectly. He leaves in July for his 4th tour of duty. I am not looking forward to that day. He says hes not but he is my hero and i couldnt be prouder of him.

There is only one thing i dont understand. If people constantly say how hard it is to be a soldiers wife, why would you marry a soldier in the first place? if you REALLY loved them, you wouldnt let them become a soldier in the first place, where they can be killed and leave your family behind.

When you "REALLY" love someone you stand beside them in their decisions!!! It's because of this unselfish act that our soldiers are able to go out and keep you safe. Instead of questioning our love, why not thank a soldier, police officer, fireman or any other person willing to put themselves out there on the line for you!!!

Personally... I married my Soldier because I could not imagine my life without him. I know there may come a day that I have to imagine it... but the time I get to spend with him is worth all of the pain and anguish I go through when he is gone. You never understand until you are in our shoes. I REALLY love my husband... and I am proud of the service he is doing for my country. You just can't understand until you are put in this situation. It's a stronger love than you can imagine.

well with that said whether people are military or not ANYONE can get killed at anytime. Life is NOT guaranteed for anyone. Being in the military whether active or spouse is hard no matter what but I cant speak for anyone else but i PROUDLY stand by my husband.

no problem at all. i did my time in service and loved every minute of it but i can honestly say i just as much pride out of being a military wife. thank you for taking the time to comment on all these posts!!!!

To love a soldier is the greatest honor I could ever ask for! My husband has been deployed 3 times, 15 months each. As soon as he gets back I'm joining the Marines, and I am STILL more proud to be an army wife! Putting themselves in harms way every day, to pack up and leave everything you've ever known, to serve the country, to do the duty they know in their hearts they have to do! To love a soldier takes a strong ass woman, and there is no greater than the military wife!

i can honestly say i could not agree with you more. we are currently going through our 3rd and yet i still could never be prouder. good luck with the corps i got out but at times wish i was still in.

You cant help who u love... tru being an army wife is the hardest thing i have ever done but i love my husband far too much to just walk away because he has to fight for this country.. it might be the hardest and painfullest but it is also the proudest honor i have ever been given and i thank god everyday that he is ok!! GOD BLESS OUR COMRADS HERE AT FT. HOOD AND OVER SEAS

This video is perfect, it's hard to be so strong sometimes, hearing his voice, or.. reading just a simple letter it takes everything i have not to just breakdown. I have to be twice as strong for him. Keep your heads up ladies. There are only so many moments in a day enjoy the ones you have together.

Wow you hit my feelings right on the dot. Right now we are currently going through our 2nd deployment in 3 years to Iraq. Thank you so much for this, it brings tears to my eyes everytime I listen to it, but they are worth it. You have an amazing voice!

Such a good song and what a beautiful voice!! Like many others have said in the comments, I will be glad to repeat because I can never emphasize this enough; waiting isn't easy and it is very hard but it is so worth it when it is over and they are home!
My husband is going to serve his first tour in 2010.
