I used to have a budgie who looked just like Jerry. They're lovely to have around, especially when they're chattering away like he is here. I think it's very sad when people don't play with their pet birds and then wonder why they don't do much. Jerry looks very lively to me and obviously feels very happy and relaxed with you.

Your bird is great! Mine has always been nippy but not aggressive so she let's me pet her but not anywhere near the top of the head and the "She" is partially the reason my budgie is nippy i believe that female budgies are a bit more nervous and nippy than males because we had a male budgie that died recently but this bird was the sweetest bird ever he would let us pet him anywhere and he would get on my finger but my female will not go on my finger or let me pet her but i love her so whatever!
Thank you for all of the wonderful comments about my little dude - this bird means the world to me! Everything that I do for him I want it to be bigger and better - he has a friend (Ricky) that he shares a flight cage with, & they come out & fly around every night. I don't ever think it's too late to work on getting a bird to interact with you & come out of the cage - the birds life will be much more enriched through the additional stimulation (in addition to things like bird friends, toys, etc)
His markings are so perfect! What a lovely Budgie. :)
