@AXEFLYERFV I'm with ya there Axe, it's great that Schenker is still coming out with new originals - seriously, how long does he have to carry the ball?
great song off force it .This albumn is my favorite next to scorpions in trance which also came out that year.Micheal schenker was the greatest guitar player of the 70s and also uli
Oh, thanks for uploading it, man! I love this song. I still remember the very first time I listened to it. It blew me away. Between the walls is just so beautiful. Like most people say, I wish they had played both parts live. I love UFO, it's a shame they're so underrated. One of my favourite bands of all time. This band is what rock is about.
you're welcome man, yeah I agree that would've been perfect,to finish with between the walls, that's exactly the reason I added it to it,same thing happened to me I was 14 when Phenomenon & Rock Bottom was the first I heard & haven't stop listening ever since, thanx for comment & for tuning in!
@AXEFLYERFV - (Part one)same here - Phenomenon was the first for me after seeing them on Don Kirshner's Rock Concert the night before. Scoured every record store the next day until I found a copy at EJ Korvettes. Finally saw them in Dover NJ in 1976 - Schenker didn't show - it was with Paul Chapman - about 20 people there.
(Part 2)-Caught them again in 1977 NYC & scored a back stage pass. Schenker was alone and asked my friend and I to enter the room. Schenker divulged his secret on his killer sound. He said get a 50 watt marshall head, not the 100 & work the volume from there. My friend took his amp the next day to the shop & put in a toggle switch for 50 or 100. UFO signed for autographs - they were rather nice.. it was Pete's brithday. Pete asked I cut up his cake - nervously - I dropped it
@revup67 right on man, we were taking the same steps in music back then & still are, I consider myself a very fortunate man to have been part of that musical era!!
Wow I'm so stoked. The more I discover other tunes of UFO/Schenker I'm more <3 in love with the group. This is great. So I won't have a problem purchasing a CD? Let me know. Many thanks !
Really like the way you retained original sequence, they really contrast and it's always nice to hear what you know comes next, so you're not left with that empty feeling all hanging in the air...
just lucky growing up in Chicago I guess. UFO and Schenker had/have a strong following here. It seemed UFO played every year while I was in my teens. Saw lots of great shows, but UFO was always stellar. Schenker's live tone cut like a knife.
Sounds great, thanks. Saw UFO with Schenker 2 times - 75 opening for Foghat no less at Aragon ballroom in Chicago and again in 78 at the Ampitheater with Judas Priest as opening act. Saw MSG at the Aragon a few times- 81 and 82, and with McCauley in 88 at the Vic. All great memories! I also saw UFO without Schenker a few times headlining at the Ampitheater with Saxon as support
This live cut is included on the just released UFO "Force it" Remastered Editionlthis song was recorded live at The Roundhouse,London,4/25/76 and I used Freeze Frames for this audio-track from this video below:
Thanks for posting 'bro. I've spent this weekend re-discovering these guys. I've lost track of how good this shit was/is. These guys and Thin LIzzy had a huge influence on the hard rock to come in the 80's. Definitley underrated, and hardly mentioned. Excellent use of time and chord changes.
axe im getting this album tomorrow.. this is nice..oh" to young to no " good song.. anything on this ? this phenom is awesome, a change for sure.. tx axe
Did you splice between the walls in there? I never heard him play that live, nor lipstick traces and it's well, historically innacurate even though it's great stuff.. Still, just the facts please.. ;)
I added Between the walls there just to keep it in the same order like in the album and I always have loved the feeling of that song & I used still frames from a live video of This Kids, instead of just posting a pic. of the album cover, just to let you know I did upload 2 videos of Schenker playing Lipstick traces live, 1 on acoustic '95 & 1 on electric '84, thnx 4 your comment!
between the walls, the best tone any guitarist can have, it pieces through my heart

one of the best hard rock songs ever going into one of the most drifty dreamy magical instrumental ever.
